  1. Very nice, but why no mirrors?
  2. Anything is possible in scale. It doesn't have to really work.
  3. But remember... all of those great sources you guys have mentioned all show up in a google search.
  4. BTW... if anyone out there has ever wanted to build a Pocher but wasn't sure they were up to it, this is the one to start with. No opening doors, no roll-up windows, no headlights, no fenders, no infamous Pocher wire wheels to drive you crazy, no worrying about misaligned body panels (because there is no body!), etc. This one is a breeze to build, yet still looks really good built up, despite its relative simplicity as far as the "classic" Pocher kits go. Although building the drive chains (link by link, roller by roller, exactly like real ones, only eight times smaller) is pretty intense! And the price is right. You can find this one on ebay for around $400-500, sometimes less.
  5. For some reason I keep going back to this one and keep refining it. I built it many years ago, then years later added Marvin's spare tire rack and tires, and "F-2" decals... at some point I wrapped the springs, etc. Now that I posted these photos I went back to my references and notice that I can do a lot better with the rocker arms and some other engine details. Also thinking I might want to go with white tires... maybe. The cool thing is, with this particular car and with everything so exposed, it's easy to take stuff apart and rework things (like when I added spring shackles and wrapped the springs). It disassembles (and reassembles) just like the real thing! This one is definitely a work in progress!
  6. The real car didn't flop. It never even got the chance to flop. The real car never went on sale to the general public. Production of the car was shut down and Preston Tucker was put on trial for stock fraud (and found not guilty on all counts, BTW) before the company had the chance to market the car to the public. At the time his trial began and the plant shut down, only 37 cars had been built. How can a car that was never given the chance to compete in the marketplace have "flopped?"
  7. I agree. Plus, what's with the roadrunner character on a Challenger? He should have come up with a new name and a new logo...
  8. The Fiat barely makes it. A RR wouldn't fit!
  9. I posted this one many years ago, but since then I've added the spare tires and rack, and several other details that I should have done in the first place!
  10. Maybe the site just doesn't like you!
  11. Same old kit with new box art? It would be nice to see a newly-tooled, 2014-era detail level kit.
  12. Pretty sure the kit manufacturers knew 2014 is the Mustang's 50th Anniversary. A "50th Anniversary" special edition kit of the original Mustang might have moved a few units. Maybe in one of those tin boxes that a lot of people seem to eat up and are willing to pay a premium for. Hello, kit manufacturer marketing guys? Anybody home?
  13. My favorite Pink Floyd song. David Gilmour's guitar work on the solos is pretty amazing. I never thought of it that way!
  14. I tried 1953 Corvette interior, no jambs found... so I tried 1955 Corvette interior, and there it was.
  15. I found the examples I posted above in less than three minutes. I'm positive that if I spent more time, I'd find many more.
  16. Tucker. No multiple versions possible, but why has this iconic and significant car never been released as a kit (except by the aftermarket)?
  17. First and only place: Google search. If it's on the internet, a google search will find it. http://www.vintagecorvettes.com/graphics6/55interior.jpg http://classiccars.com/listings/view/516530/1955-chevrolet-corvette-for-sale-in-usa-florida-00000 http://silodrome.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/11/Chevrolet-Corvette-Roadster-2.jpg
  18. This week's car is a 1932 Studebaker Dictator. Who got it right: Badluck13 MartinM Johnag4004 mr moto MikeMc carsntrucks4u customsrus
  19. ...of Pink Floyd, and especially David Gilmour. Here's half of Pink Floyd (Gilmour and the late Richard Wright) sounding fantastic...
  20. Yeah, I heard that, too. The question is... why???
  21. They are a real piece of American RR history. Too cool!
  22. The printer itself is almost a giveaway these days... they make their real $$$$ on replacement ink cartridges. I just bought a brand new Canon combination color printer/scanner for $39! I wonder what the ink cartridges are going to cost me?
