  1. That's Dinah Shore, not Diana Shroe.
  2. But the 1 and the 6 are pretty far apart on the keyboard.
  3. Look on the bright side. Free pine cones!
  4. Hmmm... I got the first day of issue from your post #8. How did I type 1 instead of 6?
  5. A small suggestion... the end of the blue stripe on the front of the hood should be straight across, parallel to the grille. And you might want to dab a little silver paint on the front of the hood to simulate the hood ornament, which on the real car is in that gap at the front of the blue stripe. Nice to see a model of a car we don't see every day!
  6. FRUS-trat-ing.
  7. Vince, try clearing your internet browsing cache.
  8. Gimme a jumbo... just for the halibut...
  9. I'll take a fish taco... hold the head and fins!
  10. Welcome aboard, Scott.
  11. Ok, that does sound pretty good. It's just the name that doesn't work. Fish tacos. Fish tacos. For some reason I get a negative mental image...
  12. Fish tacos? Yuck.
  13. Don't feel too bad. My car has all sorts of choices and readouts for all kinds of things... you have to scroll through the topics and then you can make choices for each topic... you can even pick any color you like for the lighting on the gauges at night... I've never bothered to try any of that stuff, and I've had the car for 5 years now!
  14. They need to put that tractor and the M-B trailer together!
  15. Lots of good news from Moebius!
  16. One sheet is collectible. Ten is obsessive...
  17. Is it better to be miserable and live a long life... or be happy but check out sooner?
  18. Taco Bell? Seriously? Yikes...
  19. Well, aside from the incredibly out-of-scale flake in the paint, that's a tough looking Ford. And by the way... what's the deal with trying to build a model within a specified time limit? I will never get the point of that.
  20. A lot depends on the particular kit you're dealing with, and how it's been stored over the years. So far, all of my Pocher kits have been ok... I've never had a problem with the brittleness of the wheel rings that you describe, so all I've ever had to do is use a very small screwdriver tip to push the spoke nipples into place... the plastic wheel rings have always given way nicely. But you never know what you get when you buy a 40 year old kit. You also seem to have had issues with the kit springs, which I never had. Must have something to do with how the kit spent its previous life before you bought it. But just think how proud you'll be of the finished model, knowing what you went through! Edit: Actually, the toughest part of building a Pocher wheel is making sure you put the spoke nipple on the spoke in the correct orientation... the wide flare goes down into the plastic wheel ring. I use a magnifier desk lamp when building my Pocher wheels... I couldn't have done it using only my natural unaided vision!
  21. Andy, that looks spectacular. One to be proud of.
  22. When you start a new topic, click on "Manage Topic Poll" on the right. Once you have entered your poll questions, click on "Finished," add whatever text you want in your post, and post it. It's very simple. You can always try it as a test and post it. Just delete the post once you see the results.
