  1. That may be an improvement over the previous model, but it's still not a Charger.
  2. I'm pretty sure nobody else has come up with this one:
  3. When I think "Charger," I think of the '68-'69 models. Then the '66-'67s... then the early '70s models... then nothing.
  4. No offense meant to Marcos, but scribing the panel lines is a little risky... there's always the chance your scribing tool jumps out of the groove and mars the body surface. Plus, how deep is deep enough? There's another way to get the same look that doesn't require any scribing at all. I saw a technique very much like this posted by Bob Downie quite a while ago, and it's really clever: Paint the body the usual way, then flow a black wash into the panel lines. Then shoot a final color coat that's been thinned 50-50 with clear, or just color that's been thinned down. That final thinned-down color coat takes away the harshness of the solid black lines and leaves very realistic looking panel lines. If the panel lines are still too black, just shoot another thinned color coat. The only catch is that you need an airbrush to do this technique.
  5. Very nicely done!
  6. He tells you how right there in the article! He scribes the panel lines deeper and flows a black wash into them before primer and paint.
  7. So you're asking us what you want for your birthday??? Do we have any mind readers here?
  8. Invisible driver?
  9. Nice! Crisp and clean and uncluttered. And great photos too!
  10. The car is a 1968 Fiat 125 Samantha. http://www.coys.co.uk/auction.php?itemID=3051&auctionID=33 Who got it right: wisdonm Foxer ChrisR george53 trogdor
  11. For a first timer, it looks great. Hey, it looks great even if it wasn't a first timer!
  12. They look good to me!
  13. Nice photos! That restaurant looks like a fun place. I love the car grille light fixtures on the walls!
  14. Very nice! Clean, crisp, and uncluttered. And the color scheme and scallops are beautiful. Who needs an engine and chassis when the top side looks this good?
  15. Finally some progress... got the wings painted and the graphics applied. The lower wings, top and bottom sides: Upper wing, top and bottom sides. That squarish thing in the wing is the radiator (remember, the engine is liquid-cooled, not an air-cooled radial): And the fuselage markings:
  16. You can probably get the hood to sit flush by grinding a bit off the bottom of the air cleaner can and grinding away material from the underside of the hood.
  17. Another great model from one of the most creative minds around!
  18. Is that big? I see on the box cover it says "over 800,000 rivets." I guess that'll keep a rivet counter busy for a while
  19. I've been summoned for jury duty several times but never picked. Just basically sat around for hours, then collected my check for 17 bucks... But a jury is a vital part of our criminal justice system, so I have no real complaints.
  20. I'm not too sure about flat black on everything... all the chrome trim, the door handles and locks, the window surrounds, the wipers...
  21. Just a suggestion... I'd paint the hood flat black. Just my opinion, but I think the car looks much cooler that way. I'd also add the mirrors.
