  1. Beautiful!
  2. I think you're being too critical of yourself. Maybe every detail isn't exactly correct, but overall it looks very good to me! I think it definitely deserves to be finished up and put on display!
  3. No graphics?
  4. Exactly...
  5. Not to be a nit-picker... But seeing as how that car came out in 1998, your model can hardly be called a "pre-internet" build. Maybe before you got online, but not before the internet had already been up and running for years.
  6. As bad as it seems, in reality it's even worse! I edit tons of those "quoted picture" posts all the time. You guys don't know it, because it goes on behind the scenes... but it goes on constantly. Some people are just clueless, I guess.
  7. I agree it's an example of impressive craftsmanship. But it's not a "real" running engine. That's not a knock on the guy... just an "FYI" in case anyone thought this thing was an operational internal combustion engine.
  8. Yeah, that's some impressive machining work, but it doesn't really "work"... I mean, it doesn't actually run on gas. He made a model with movable internals. Very impressive, like I said... but it's not like the guy who made the 1/3 scale Ferrari that actually ran!
  9. Real or not so much? The answer: REAL!
  10. It is sort of an Easter egg blue, isn't it?
  11. Oh yeah... back from the days when funny cars were still interesting and not the generic "jelly bean" they are today. Is that 1/16 scale?
  12. I'm not familiar with this kit, so I don't know how much work you had to do to get it to this state ( I assume a LOT!), but WOW! That's beautiful! The detail on the upper radiator hose is over the top! Are the thin pinstripes around the side windows and along the front fenders decals? If so, how in the world did you get them on so perfectly straight?
  13. Very nicely done! The figures are also very well done, especially the faces. If it was mine, I'd add a scratchbuilt "canvas" cover over the bed.
  14. Can't ever be too many Hudsons!
  15. We have a section called "How Do I?" Guess what it's for. It's for asking questions about how to do stuff. If you have a tip or trick or tutorial you want to share, you post it in the Tips, Tricks and Tutorials section. If you have a question about how to do something, you post it in the How Do I? (Q&A) section. I thought that was pretty self-evident, but I guess it needs to be explained?
  16. The Tips. Tricks and Tutorial section is for posting tips, tricks and tutorials. I know, crazy, right???
  17. Very impressive work so far!
  18. Very crisp and clean! The woodwork is outstanding, especially at such a small scale.
  19. The car is a 2011 Noble M600. Who got it right: Jaymcminn MikeMc Badluck 13 Draggon The Creative Explorer Johnny Jon Cole Mr Chips trogdor Pat Redmond mo69par ChrisR Ryan S. maltsr Joe Handley
  20. Why did you post this in the Tips and Tutorials section???
  21. Large bookshelf units from IKEA with glass doors to keep the dust out.
  22. Nicely done... but those unpainted white plastic wheel backs have got to go!
  23. Huh??? Do you usually sit in the back seat when you drive?
  24. A lot of you guys here are saying that a solid rear axle is better for drag racing. And adding drum brakes to replace disks is a good thing. Ok, whatever... But the last time I drove my Mustang in a drag race was... um, never! I'm not 17, I don't drag race my car. My Mustang is my daily driver, and personally I would prefer an IRS over the solid axle any time. In real-world, normal driving-the kind of driving we all do 99.99% of the time, not the driving we wish we did or we brag about-I think an IRS performs better. But that's just my opinion.. I could be wrong!
  25. Exactly. It's covered wagon technology. And it's not that America "wants" a solid axle car. It's all about Ford saving a few bucks.
