I think you're being way too critical of yourself. That model looks pretty darn good to me.

Sounds to me like BMF would be the logical choice over this stuff.

The question is not whether or not Thunderbirds were ever sold in Europe. Obviously if Christian had one, then they must have been sold there. Nobody is questioning that. The question is whether the Ford Motor Company ever made a 1991 SC 5 liter, regardless of which country it was sold in. And according to that site, no such car was ever made by Ford. Once again, I don't claim to vouch for the site's accuracy, I just posted the link as an FYI. The general consensus here seems to be that Ford did not produce a '91 SC 5 liter, and so far nobody has offered any proof that they did. The fact that Christian bought one does not prove that it was a factory-made car. It might have been an aftermarket conversion.

You just made my point! The site lists all the factory variants, not all the various versions that were done by individuals or independent companies. There's no way that anyone could possibly catalog all the various aftermarket and conversion versions done by independent entities. According to the site, Ford Motor Company never made a 1991 T-Bird SC 5 liter. That's not to say that a 1991 T-Bird SC 5 liter doesn't exist... just that Ford never made one. And that's what people here have said... that Ford never made a 1991 T-Bird SC 5 liter.

Looking at this model reminds me just how advanced those cars were, design-wise. I mean, that car still looks sharp and clean and completely up to date today!

I agree with what Ken said... and if you think about it for a second or two, it's obvious. Silver paint just doesn't have the reflectivity that Bare Metal Foil has. In my opinion, Bare Metal Foil on window surrounds, side spears, etc. looks like the real thing, while silver paint immediately screams "model." One of the biggest steps beginning modelers can take is moving up from silver paint to foil. It makes that much of a difference.

I like that, because it's a color you don't see very often on these cars.

Wow, this sure brings back memories! I used to have an '84 Turbo Z, garnet red with silver lower half. The turbo fried after a few years, though.

He's asking for photos to add to the archives. Why does that say "unreliable" to you??? I don't see how you can just look at the site and come to the conclusion that it's unreliable. Based on what??? I can't say for sure that this site lists every single car model ever made, but it does look pretty comprehensive, and the car you speak of isn't listed here. Seems like the most likely possibility is the car you bought was some sort of aftermarket conversion and not a factory car.
