  1. "Styrene Pre-Nup: What You Need to Know!"
  2. Hmmmm... I always figured you were smoking something else...
  3. I think the Model T was probably the single most versatile vehicle of all time. It was used in so many different ways, so many different applications. Simple, durable, cheap. You can't beat that. Henry Ford really got it right.
  4. Liquid styrene cement for general building. Much easier to apply precisely than tube glue, and no annoying glue "strings" all over the place. Epoxy when/where extra strength is needed. Crazy glue (CA), white glue and clear acrylic as needed for specific instances (clear parts, PE emblems, gluing dissimilar materials, etc.) Different situations call for different adhesives, but regular old "tube glue" is the one I use the least of all.
  5. I edited your post. Please do NOT quote photos when you reply to a post... It's very annoying and competely pointless.
  6. I can't possibly see them all.
  7. I like how you did the "strobe" stripe.
  8. Cato... it's a little confusing. If someone posts something like, "Hey, check out the new resin 1956 Flashmobile at www.xxxxxxxxx.com," that's more of a "heads-up," not direct selling. If someone posts something like "Here is my latest resin body of a 1956 Flashmobile, they go for $25 and you can buy it by emailing me at resinguy.com, I accept Paypal, Visa or MC"... that's selling, and that's not allowed here. I guess the determining factor is, if someone posts all the information needed to buy the item, that would be considered selling. If someone posts a link, or where to go for further information, that would be ok. At least, that's how I understand the "no selling" rule.
  9. It's a logistical nightmare to contact every member that posted on a deleted thread and explain the whys and wherefores. You can post a general heads-up on new products, like "check out the latest resin whatevers at www.xxxxxx.com"... that's ok. But posting photos, descriptions, prices, and where to buy is "selling" and is not allowed here. If we allowed people to sell products here this place would turn into an ebay-like site in no time.
  10. And we have a winner...
  11. The blue one is also a Pocher. Same exact engine and chassis as the red/black one; just different bodywork.
  12. Yeah, when it comes to styrene, Chuck's pretty hard-core! But that's good...
  13. Actually, Model Ts were available in several colors from the beginning... red, blue, green, gray... it was only from 1918 onward that "any color as long as it's black" became the rule.
  14. Oh yeah... it's real all right!
  15. Nice! Now you can be Mark Knopfler...
  16. Those are some cool T's, but man, I love the black stocker!
  17. Oh, come on, man... it's not as bad as all that! Actually, from what I remember (I built mine many years ago), the multi-piece body was not a problem at all. Everything went together well. All I did was replace some of the top's hinge mechanism plastic parts with scratchbuilt wire hinges, just to make things a bit sturdier. But even that wasn't really necessary, the kit alone builds up just fine. It puts many new kits to shame!
  18. Title says it all.
  19. Yeah, that's all you have to do. But I would use a heavier gauge wire for the tie rods... what this guy used looks a little too skinny.
  20. What do you mean by a "functional" tie rod? Just something to use with poseable steering? Don't bother with threads... just build it out of various lengths of brass or aluminum or styrene rod and/or tube. But why not just modify the kit piece?
  21. Don't forget the General Lee...
  22. Do not post any hints or answers here, PM me with year, make and model. The answer: 2011 Wiesmann GT MF5
  23. Send me a PM and attach the avatar you want to use.
