  1. I think you're being unfair... I'll bet a lot of regular-sized builders would know the answer, too...
  2. I use all different brands of paint for colors... usually DupliColor, sometimes Krylon, sometimes others... all are much cheaper per ounce than "hobby paints" (when a 3 ounce can of spray paint cost me 6 bucks I tend to look for alternatives!)... but one area where I do stick with "hobby paints" is metalizers.
  3. Oops, sorry... I forgot to click the "Public Poll" button when I set up the poll. But hey... at least this way the results will be a surprise! (I'll be sure to make the voting public next time...)
  4. I actually knew that... I was just yankin' your chain... Speaking of weather... been in the 80s and not a cloud in the sky for about a week straight. Not half bad for October around here. Global warming? Bring it on! Every day I can go without running the furnace is a day I save some $$$...
  5. Real or model? The answer: I'm not sure!!!
  6. Hmmm... never knew that.
  7. Three exhaust ports per side? Is that right???
  8. Sheesh, you Canadians and your wacky metric calendar...
  9. Welcome to the asylum...
  10. Yeah, that's not exactly the cheapest way to enjoy the hobby...
  11. Kind of makes me wonder why you were asked to be a judge...
  12. You mean Model King? And if Model King is already sold out, it makes me wonder even more why Moebius ever cut a deal with someone else to sell their NASCAR Hudson, when they obviously could have sold it themselves under their own brand. ???
  13. So... are you holding your nose every time you post??? Do you wear gloves when you're typing on your keyboard so you don't get any computer cooties? Seriously, though. You "despise" computers? Why on earth would you despise computers? I can see maybe being indifferent to them, or not using them on a daily basis (although the number of people who still get along on a daily basis with no contact with computers has to be very small), or wishing that technology slowed down just a tiny bit, or yearning for the "good old days,"... but despising computers? Where does that come from?
  14. I have absolutely zero knowledge of what that is or what it represents... but you sure did a heck of a nice job on it... whatever it is!
  15. Spell check is automatic when you post. The red squiggly line under a word means you messed up...
  16. 1/8 scale, full-detail Daytona or Superbird. Either one. With options to build a stock and an accurate NASCAR version. I know... don't hold my breath...
  17. Check your camera setting and lighting...
  18. I think calling a carburetor a "computer" is reeeeeeeally a stretch. Most people would define a a computer as a device that involves electronics. com·put·er [kuhm-pyoo-ter] noun 1. Also called processor. An electronic device designed to accept data, perform prescribed mathematical and/or logical operations at high speed, and display the results of these operations. If we go with Chuck's argument, then my fingers are a computer...
  19. As you have been told, the kits are not particularly valuable, so you're not going to be able to sell them and retire from the proceeds... Build them... unless you do, they're just parts in a box and are completely meaningless.
  20. I have zero interest in the subject, but that sure looks like a cool model. Nice job!
  21. I think he's looking for photos of the kit's engine, so he can see how detailed it is.
  22. Sounds like you were born a hundred years too late. You would probably have loved churning your own butter and weaving your own cloth...
  23. The "return on investment" is the enjoyment you get from the hobby! That's the payoff!
