Enough already with the endless topics about the chat room! Yes, it's gone. I don't know why, exactly. It was Gregg's decision and if he wants to explain it, that's his call. In the meantime, stop posting the same topic over and over again.

That could be. But anyway, your topic is back up. Sorry about the mix-up. -

I'm pretty sure you did. Anyway, I put it back. If you didn't ask me to remove it, then it's my mistake... but I could have sworn you asked me to get rid of it. It's back now... sorry for the mix-up. -

You sent me a PM and told me to delete it. -
A lot of nonsense, apparently...

99.99% of the time, when a website doesn't work right, it's NOT THE WEBSITE... IT'S YOUR OLD, OUTDATED BROWSER! Website technology, code, etc. is constantly changing, and if you're running a web browser that's a year old or more (that's like from the stone age in internet time), chances are you're going to find that many sites don't work correctly, because your old, outdated browser can't support some of the latest features and technology that new, updated sites use. The simple answer: Update to the latest version of your browser. I use Firefox, and one of the things I like about it is that they send you the latest updates as they become available. I don't have to constantly check to see if there's a newer version available... they automatically send me the newest version.

I've been thinking about this one. Yesterday I said we already have a section for 1:1 photos, and it's true that we do. But on the other hand, I kind of see the point that someone made where these are not technically "reference" photos. I guess this topic could fit in either section (General or 1:1)... but since it's already here, I think I'll just leave it here. No real harm in it being here. I mean, we've had plenty of "General" topics in the past that had a lot of 1:1 photos included that were allowed to stay put. So this one will also stay here. Yes, a judgment call.

Beautiful! And looks like it's very accurately detailed, too.

I think it's understood that the diorama section refers to automotive-related dioramas... dioramas that contain model cars. Garage scenes, a rusted hulk in a field, that sort of thing. After all, this is the Model Cars forum. However, many of us (myself included) build more than just cars, so we have a place for "other" models, and that's where I'm going to move this topic. I know it's a judgment call, but that's exactly what a moderator does all day: make judgment calls.

50s "kustom" Usually has moderate to major bodywork (frenched headlights, different grilles, chopped tops, etc.), often with flames or scallops, usually lowered. Lowrider Usually (not always) a full-size car, often a Chevy, with hydraulics, elaborate paint schemes, often with murals, generally stock engines, over-the-top sound systems. Dry lakes racer The original "rat rods," stripped-down pre-war cars (often Ford), made to go as fast as possible for as cheap as possible. "Ricer" Typically a Japanese econobox tricked out with elaborate body kits and huge rear spoilers. May or may not have mechanical upgrades. Loud, obnoxious muffler is a must! Donk The less said, the better. I'll let others add to the list...

Amazing! You craftsmanship is superb, I've never seen a cleaner model. Outstanding! -
Like Jim says... it depends on exactly what you're trying to glue together. Different situations call for different glues. I use liquid cement (Plastruct Plastic Weld) for general building, epoxy when I need extra strength, tube glue when attaching small parts that need to be held in place for a while (the thickness of the tube glue holds small parts, like antennas and mirrors, in place as they dry), Elmer's glue for headlight lenses, etc. There is no one single glue that's best for all situations.

A little before my time. -
Walmart also sells cheap, semi-disposable "Tupperware-like" plastic containers with snap-on lids in various sizes. I bought a set of three, big enough to fully submerge a 1/24 scale body, for a buck or two. Dollar stores also have plastic containers like these... they're perfect for stripping model parts, and they're dirt cheap.

You're showing your geographical ignorance. Everyone knows this car is from Lower Slobovia, not East Stanistan...
