  3. Wow! That furnace and water heater are incredible!
  4. You are in the small minority. A Hudson kit has been on most modeler's "most requested list" for ages.
  5. That steering wheel looks a little dangerous!
  6. Northwest Suburban Chicago, Crook County, IL.
  7. I just started the Lindberg 1/16 scale 1910 Model T Torpedo Runabout. I got a ton of good photos just by doing a google search.
  8. I'm a graphic artist/designer, and yeah, I've done illustration work in the past (both before computers and with computers).
  9. Amazing. Astounding, actually. I can only imagine the hours of work you have invested in this model so far. One more question: How do you keep up your interest? I mean, personally I'm always gung-ho when I start a new model, but the longer I work on it, the more restless I get and wish I was further along... and usually I'll get to the point where I get bored with it and put it away and start something new. And too often that half-built model sits for years before I'll pull it out and work on it again. Sometimes I'll never pull it out again. So how do you keep yourself motivated? Are you building this straight through, start to finish, with no other projects going at the same time?

  11. Why not be the one to get your subscription drive started?
  12. When I first looked at this thread I didn't click on that first link. I never realized that this model is completely scratch-built! "Amazing" doesn't even come close to describing this. I have a lot of questions, but the one I want answered the most is how did you make the body? Is is fiberglass? Vacu-formed? I saw your 3-D "wireframe" form, but how did you translate that into the actual body shell?
  13. Better to take the time to get it right than to rush a sub-par product onto the market. You guys are doing it the right way. I think your efforts on both the Hudson and the Chrysler will be rewarded.
  14. No, just one tank. But dual gas caps was part of the rare "ambidextrous package" that accommodated both left-handed and right-handed drivers! It also included a reversible ash tray...
  15. But there shouldn't be one on each side of the car!
  16. It's looking pretty good! One suggestion... carefully clean up the edges of the foil trim around the windows. Use a brand new blade. Also you might try and burnish out some of the wrinkles in the foil with the side of a toothpick. Other than that it's looking nice (and I'm being picky about the foil trim... but since you're doing such an elaborate build-up, it's worth your time to clean up those edges a bit).
  17. Has anyone figured out what they mean by "stock plus?" Plus what???
  18. Oh yeah, I see that now. What's a "D horse?"
  19. Ok, so the switch to black tires happened after the first few years of production. Thanks.
  20. Did 1909-10 Model T's have black tires, or white? I've seen photos both ways, which is correct?
  21. "Figure and horse not included." So... what about the fence and the tree?
  22. Well, Gregg might not think it'll work, but I'm sure it will. So everyone just send your dollars to me instead!
  23. Oops. Yes, you had it right, I missed your name on the list.
  24. You just answered your own question. Or to throw in another phrase, "A fool and his money are soon parted."
