  1. I found a fotki album that has shots of all the instructions... I was wondering what the batteries were for! I thought at first that maybe the kit had working lights.
  2. I think the fine mesh screen that's inside the tip of a kitchen faucet (the "aerator" part) might be close to scale. I've heard that the tires can't support the weight of the model... I'll have to do something about that. Something like you mentioned would work, or even lengths of soft rope or heavy string of the right thickness would do the job.
  3. Will do. Seeing pictures of Matt's model makes me want one for my very own!
  4. Yes, I saw those... but I'm a "big scale" guy. If I buy it, it'll be the 1/12 one. I wish there was a 1/8 version available! Oh, if only Pocher had done one...
  5. What's a fair price to pay for that kit? There's one on ebay for a $180 "Buy it Now" price.
  6. Is this kit and the MPC one the same kit?
  7. If the web pages where the photos were posted don't exist anymore, that's not the computer's fault! That's like saying it's your TV's fault if your favorite show gets canceled.
  8. Very nice! Love the interior details.
  9. Nice! The body color/woodgrain looks very good together.
  10. I don't think the styling is ugly, just quirky in that "Virgil Exner: man from space" way... An Aztec is ugly. Nice job, the color scheme looks cool.
  11. Don't storage units in Canada come with heat??? Or are you talking about something on your own property like an outdoor shed or garage?
  12. What happens if you have to work on the passenger side of the engine?
  13. He was banned for swearing on the forum (several times).
  14. OK, John... don't hate me, but... I doubt that a car like that would ever have a "weathered" chassis like that. While it looks "realistic," the owner/team would never allow that kind of car to get to such a condition. Drag cars are constantly being stripped down, maintained, upgraded, etc. to keep them in absolute top shape. The sort of car you're building wouldn't be a backyard-built, low bucks weekend warrior, but a professionally built and maintained car, IMO. Just my 2¢... which you may not want!
  15. How about this one? Real or model? The answer: REAL!
  16. Beautiful! Now that's what a scale model is all about!
  17. You never know... it might turn out nicely in the end. (rimshot!!!) Wow, doc... you sure are wrapped up in your work...
  18. Of course, I could go on... But I wouldn't want your model to become the butt of my jokes...
  19. I know a proctologist who has a car just like that...
  20. Hey, yer only 8 in dog years!
  21. Do a google image search for "spider carriage" and you'll see why they were called that. They're spindly looking, sort of spiderish. I can see why they got that name.
  22. Don't forget about Gregg... he's the guy who will ultimately decide yes or no. You might want to PM him and send him a link to this thread in case he hasn't seen it yet.
  23. Very nice, very clean. Now get that rear plate on there to cover up that huge unrealistic hole!
  24. Not me... I have enough to do already... I'm not interested in taking this on, too. If this idea is going to fly, someone else is going to be doing it!
  25. That was my point... somebody has to be in charge and run things every time... accept the entries, post them up, set up the poll, announce the winner, etc. Just doing Auto ID and Real or Model every week, as simple as they are, is a PITA... staging and running a monthly contest is even more so. But hey, as long as he's willing to be that guy, and do all that, I say go for it!
