  1. Do we have a serial marrier on our hands???
  2. Ditto on that. Great product, cheap, available anywhere (Walmart, any auto parts store).
  3. I always wondered why some magazines are 2 or 3 months ahead of time. Is it really necessary to have the January 2011 issue in October 2010? I guess they must use a mirror image of the same production schedule Gregg uses!
  4. It's called "philosophy." You know... deep thinking. As in "on a whole 'nother level."
  5. You have to remember that MCM is published according to the metric calendar! 1 month = 2.54 months metric.
  6. Of a tree falls in a forum, but everyone is on "ignore," does it make a sound?
  7. Looks like the windshield frame is already molded into the body, and the other frame is a part used for the convertible version, and not needed on the hard top version.
  8. Don't make me come down there...
  9. That's cool. I like how you chipped the paint along the creases of the fenders, nice touch.
  10. Model Cars Magazine isn't available on newsstands... only at some hobby shops or by subscription. We hope to have the magazine available on newsstands in the future.
  11. Um... I was kind of joking. Interstate highway. In Hawaii? Get it???
  12. Hard to say because I worked on it in spurts when I had time. I would guess about 200-300 hours overall, maybe a little more. It's really hard to say because I wasn't particularly keeping track. It was "in progress" for several months, but not continuously.
  13. The image code looks something like this: [ img] lomgstringofgibberish [ /img] You want to copy the line that has the image tags (the stuff on each end) and paste that line of gibberish into your post. Then the photo will show up here in your post.
  14. Gregg, I think Bruno made an honest mistake. He posted a link to the photo, not the photo itself. You know how "unexpected" things can happen sometimes if you post only a link and not the actual photo. Bruno sent me the photo he actually meant to post, and it was a Batman cartoon (which makes sense, since the thread was about Batman, in a way). I'm pretty sure that Bruno meant no harm, and the photo we saw was not the photo he intended to post.
  15. It's not you job to calm things down, that's my job. If anyone has a problem with a post, that's what the Report button is for. As long as you guys who claim to not want to get involved in threads like this keep getting involved, this sort of thing will never end. If Jimmy had gotten NO responses, this whole mess would never have happened. Instead, a bunch of you jumped in to tell us all how you really don't approve of these sorts of posts and don't like it when they happen. In other words, you guys who were "offended" by this post are the ones who kept it going!!!
  16. If all of you who posted in this thread would not have done so, all of this would have never happened. Think about it. You can't complain about arguments and flame wars and getting PMs you don't want if you yourself have chosen to take part in the argument! If you don't want to get involved in a thread that's argumentative, DON'T POST IN THAT THREAD!
  17. Better question: Why are there interstate highways in Hawaii???
  18. There's nobody who would love to jump in more than me. But we can't...
  19. Question: The kit you're basing your conversion on has a very different body style than the Star of India. Are you going to modify the kit body, or leave it as is?
  20. Come on guys. Enough already...
  21. Japan has roughly 1/3 the population of the US. Imai, Tamiya, Hasegawa, Aoshima, Bandai, Fujimi, Gunze Sangyo, etc. Who's the lucky one now?
  22. I'm sure you all saw the lock coming. There's nothing to be gained by letting this thread go on. You've made your points. Now live up to them. And stop hammering Jimmy! Yes, his writing style can be annoying, but what he's actually saying doesn't deserve the kind of attacks some of you have made. Sure, he's not the most articulate guy on the planet, but he's also not the flamethrower some of you have made him out to be. All of the Jimmy bashers need to go back and read his posts again, then ask yourselves what exactly got you so riled up in the first place? If it's his bad grammar or poor spelling, all I can say is we get plenty of that here from a lot of people, so let's get off Jimmy's back and leave the moderating to the moderators.
  23. How about it? The answer: REAL!
  24. Great news. Congratulations.
