  1. 1930's Cadillac V12 and V16... because of their elegant, clean design. No rat's nest of wiring here... these engines were not only engineered, they were styled!
  2. I don't know how close you are to calling this one "finished," and you may have already had this in mind... but I would suggest adding a few things to give the scene a bit more realism. I'd add a street sign or two (maybe "No Parking," maybe a light pole on the "corner" with street names, that sort of thing. I'd also add a fire hydrant, and dirty things up a bit. The "concrete" under the buildings is much too clean and pristine. I'd also add some "litter" here and there, maybe a trash can... those kinds of "little things" that make a diorama look much more like a real street scene and give the diorama "life." Also... if the buildings are not solidly attached to the base, I'd move them much closer together. Most of the time buildings of this era were built very close together, with only a very narrow walkway between them, many times adjoining buildings are even touching.
  3. Change the "skin" to IP Board. (Dropdown menu at lower left corner of page).
  4. There are plenty of others who refuse to follow that rule, too!
  5. I agree with Terry and Lee... it's all sort of silly. People talking over one another, basically nothing but inane small talk. But hey... if that's your thing, have at it!
  6. Didn't get a chance to shoot a picture, but I found these photos online. Stock mirrors on the left, aftermarket on the right.
  7. Yeah, your avatar is your avatar. You can only have one at a time, and it shows up in all your posts.
  8. You might want to see how things go. I think we should give him the benefit of the doubt. If he's serious about behaving, then I think he deserves another shot using his new screen name. I'm definitely going to wait and see how things develop.
  9. I'm very opinionated, too. So are lots of people here. The trick is to disagree without being disagreeable.
  10. You guys did much better this time! The "Jaguar" in the photo is actually a 2005 Mitsuoka Viewt. The Mitsuoka Viewt is a modification of the Nissan March (Micra in overseas markets), intended to resemble a Jaguar Mark II. (Why? Who knows!!!) The first Viewt, introduced in January 1993, was produced on the basis of the Nissan K11 March. The March's hatchback was replaced by a fixed rear window and rounded trunk, and the front grille and headlamp assembly was replaced by one closely resembling that of the Jaguar Mark II. When the March was updated (becoming the K12), Mitsuoka produced a new Viewt, which first appeared in September 2005. 11. Scitex. Wow... ancient history!
  12. You had more modeling skills back then than many adults have! BTW... why 3 separate posts? You could have put these all together in one thread...
  13. I'll try to get some photos posted tomorrow...
  14. Nasty! Long, low and black... I love it!
  15. I think you did a great job! Man, I love MOPAR muscle. That is one good looking car!!!
  16. Installed them today. Nice!!!! They look 1,000% better than the stock units. Now on to the sequential taillight/stoplight/turn signals (because I think that's so cool!) and the cold air intake. Fun stuff!
  17. You'd need a lot of good reference photos, a huge amount of time and some major modeling talent to pull it off, but it can be done. Anything can be scratchbuilt! Something like this would be a MAJOR undertaking, but no reason in the world that it couldn't be done.
  18. Two buddies are on the golf course on a Saturday morning. One of the guys is about to chip onto the green when he sees a long funeral procession passing by on the road next to the golf course. He stops in mid-swing, takes off his golf cap, closes his eyes, and bows down his head in prayer. His friend says: "Wow! That is the most thoughtful and touching thing I have ever seen. You are truly a kind man." The other guy replies, "Yeah, well, we were married almost 35 years."
  19. A joke with no punch line is pretty useless...
  20. I decided to leave them black for now. Might paint them sometime down the road.
  21. Yeah, Illinois requires a front plate, but they always seem to give a pass to Corvettes and Mustangs!
  22. I think a full page ad in Hemming's Classic Car would sell a few of these kits!
  23. Wow! Stone Age art production! (I remember it well... )
