  1. Congratulations to you and your family Erik.
  2. Thank you Jonathan.
  3. That looks good Everett. I've never seen a car with green "whitewalls" though. What made you do that?
  4. That Cuda looks great in that color Dave. Good job.
  5. Jim, you did a great job on this model.
  6. Thank you fellas, I really appreciate your encouraging comments. Dave, now that the chrome trim is around and on the side trim insert it really makes it pop. Steven, yeah, it's all your fault about the roof... I can put all the blame on you. Tomorrow I work on the interior.
  7. That looks really great Peter.
  8. That's looking really good Todd. I've got one of these cars in the works too. I love the paint colors on yours.
  9. Hey thanks a lot Harry. No, I don't think that I'm the king of anything actually. If I'm lucky (and my wife doesn't give any argument) maybe I can say that I'm king of my castle?!?
  10. OK. The BMF work is done on this body. It took me about 8 hours over a period of 2 days and I used about a third of a sheet of BMF. Unfortunately I forgot to apply some BMF to the New Yorker side script trim and the TINY Chrysler lettering on the front and rear of the car before it was painted, so I had to apply it after it was painted, clearcoated and polished, and then tediously, carefully and neatly trim it. Thankfully my Optivisor was able to help these old eyes do a pretty decent job of it. Here's how it looks; The grille and bumpers and taillights are in place for the pictures, I now have to finish up the painting and detailing of the interior and then I can begin final assembly. Thanks for following along on this project. More progress reports will come as they happen.
  11. I'm about 98% finished with all of the BMF trim on this car. I should be able to post pictures of it later today.
  12. No Dave, only the top and rear edges of the fins have chrome trim strips, not the entire fin.
  13. That looks like it has done a lot of hard work. Great job.
  14. That's looking really cool Shane.
  15. Very nice wagon Brett. Great job.
  16. That looks really great Brett.
  17. Richard, you said that you needed "glass" for your diorama. Try using the clear acetate tops from boxes of greeting cards. It's clear and much thinner than clear sheet plastic which would be more "in scale". Just a suggestion...
  18. 6 days to go... Looking forward to it.
  19. Tombstone.

  21. About 12 years ago my wife had bought a new Hyundai when we still lived in New York on Long Island. She drove to work in it and thought she would take up 2 spots on an angle like that so no one would ding her new car with their doors. Well, someone in the office bldg. where she worked was so P.O.'d that she took up 2 spots in the limited space parking lot that they keyed the whole side of her new car...!!! My friend Tom Valenta drives a beautiful Dodge Magnum with a Hemi. He is so "anal" about someone dinging his doors with theirs that, if he drives it to a mall or a shopping center, he parks it as far away from the stores as he can and walks the entire length or width of the parking lot to and from the stores. If you're a passenger along for the ride it's a real pain in the butt.
  22. Jim, you have done an outstanding job in detailing this model as well as you have. I also look forward to seeing this "under glass".
  23. Great job on that Chevy Scott.
  24. Shawshank Redemption Outlaw Josey Wales Broken Trail Open Range Saving Private Ryan Band of Brothers The Godfather 1 & 2 American Graffiti Inglorious Basterds and at Christmas I have to watch the original Scrooge a Christmas Carol with Alastair Sim and It's a Wonderful Life. There are dozens of others but these are the ones that come to mind at the moment.
  25. I'm sure that this will be another gem from your bench Steven. I'm looking forward to your progress.
