  1. Anybody know what this is? Part #85 on the chrome tree.
  2. Gonna make it look something like this but rusty and beat up. I'm using the tires from the amt snap Dodge Ram and wheels I think are from the amt 50 Chevy. I also opened the grille up. Here is a mockup of where I'm at.
  3. Sorry guys. I haven't touched any models in months. A two year old and a 3 month old take up most of my time and any free time I get is spent picking up after them. Also I haven't had any ambition to build lately.
  4. Finished about a month ago.
  5. This will be a long term project but I want to show where I've started. The bed will be replaced with a scratch built welding bed (similar to the one that I built for my Dodge Ram). The tires are from Chief Joseph and the wheels are from scenes unlimited. The wheels will need some work in order to widen them to fit in the big tires. Here is a quick mockup.
  6. Hope to be there.
  7. Those look awesome. Let me know when they are done and how much they will be.
  8. I for one would rather go to a show on Saturday. That way you have a whole day after to rest or get things done at home before going to work on Monday. Especially when you have to travel a distance for the show.
  9. I could probably make you some. Here is an example of a couple blower sets ive made.
  10. What is the outside diameter in inches?
  11. Would be very interested. Will they fit the meng tires? Will they be offered in chrome? And how much for a set?
  12. No progress. Busy weekend doing home projects.
  13. The meng wheels fit the BFG krawlers from fireball resin works like a glove. They are a scale 37" tire.
  14. I live in central Nebraska right on the UP line and see the challenger quite often. There is also a big boy on display in Omaha right on the Iowa border.
  15. I believe they at diodes and yes I got them at radio shack I believe they are diodes and yes I got them at radio shack
  16. Those look nice but can you make them any diameter and width?
  17. I've thought the same thing. The bed would be easy to build but I wish I would have casted the previous lincoln welder that I made...that was a pain to get just right.
  18. If I remember right the from suspension would be independent unless it was a 4x4. I am also searching for dually wheels and tires just not sure which ones to use.
  19. Trains aren't my thing but my 18 month old boy loves them so I decides to build this for him. Got half the track painted so far.
  20. Thanks guys. No update yet. Been having modeling A.D.D. and can't stay on one project. Need to figure out what wheels I'm gonna use then I can finish the chassis
  21. Cool!!! I started one like this a while back. Only got the rough body work done before it went back in the box.
  22. I looked at those. Does anyone know the dimensions of the wheels and tires?
  23. Finally got it cleared. I tried some new clear that my brother gave me. It's a DuPont two part urethane that air dries in about 30 minutes. I was rough handling it after two hours and it is rock hard. This my first paint job using my new talon airbrush and it works great. Here is a quick mockup.
  24. I just tried the kit wheels on Fireball Modelworks BFG Krawlers and they fit perfect. The wheels are a little big so the rubber tires actually stretch a little and gain you about 1/16" in height and just ever so slightly narrower. Hoping to find a nice set of dually wheels that these tires will fit on so I can do a dually conversion. Tire with meng wheel is on the right. Ensd up being about 3/16" taller than the stock tires.
