  1. The suspense is killing me! I've already been reprimanded once by a poster for "rushing" a build, but .................lol
  2. This is fantastic! Very nice engine bay. I have a similar project going & am curious as to where you found engine detail reference? I have a post in the 1:1 area, no access to real cars. Excellent pro-touring example!
  3. There's a very powerful equation at work here: Knowledge + talent = SKILL ! You appear to be very skilled.
  4. I have 2 of these waiting in the wings. Will be eagerly watching this one. Nice cage work. Like the canned tubs, too.
  5. I've been trying to find fenderwell headers for a '63 fury Max Wedge project. I have 11 big block & hemi Mopars lined up. I would be interested. How about a Torker type single plane intake? I haven't seen one in 30 yrs & I don't remember what kit that came in.
  6. Some folks go thru an entire lifetime & never find a friend like that. I know it hurts, for I too have experienced a loss such as yours. Consider yourself blessed to have had such a loyal companion & cherish the memories of Rex. While he can never be replaced, after a respectful period of grievance, you should consider adoption again because you my friend have a lot to offer a helpless, homeless animal. I know! While my 'Booger' will NEVER be forgotten, I have had a new companion for 3 yrs now who makes me feel like the most important man in the world! Grieve, my brother. Hold Rex's memory close FOREVER, & go tackle the world as usual. Respectfully, Bart
  7. I use very small diameter clear sprue cut approximately 3/16" long, then heat small guitar string & insert in each end. Paint the strings & just the flat ends of the sprue silver & you have a nice in-line glass fuel filter
  8. I think it looks great. I'm scared of BMF. I got some, but never used it.
  9. Is there any way to post pics directly from a cell phone?
  10. Yes sir. Alot has changed since The days when I thought i "pioneered" the use of painted sewing thread for spark plug wires!
  11. True the 'glass, but what a great realistic contrast it would make. Dull, faded paint, busted holes in the fiberglass riding behind a rusted out cab! Awesome!
  12. Man I love this car! I KNEW I shoulda typed in hood- pins also! This is making me want to start my old JO-HAN kit, but I'm trying to sit on it. I sure hope the '67 Belvedere & '71 Satelite are on yor build list, those are 2 & 3 in my book! I love the sequin idea, I might have to borrow that one! This is coming on nicely, Scott. Love it!
  13. I'm guessing body panel fasteners
  14. GO MANGO would be cool since you're "going" camping!
  15. That's it, I quit!!!!! Seriously, Alyn, I've never seen such patience & talent in 1/25 in my life! Purely AmAzInG! I'm dizzy & inspired. I'm back after 30+ years & this is why. 3hank you for showing the possibilites!
  16. The MPC turd '69 Daytona Charger has decent rear wheels that are very close!
  17. I build hot rods. Big trucks or commercial is not my bag. The '42-47 Fords have always been a favorite of mine so I had to stop by & have a look. Its beautiful! Very nice build. I'm impressed by the patience & skill it must've taken to build. I will definitely stop by more often. GREAT job.
  18. I have to agree on the phone wire, I recently discovered myself. I found an 8ft.strand with black, red, green, yellow, blue & white. Works PERFECT!
  19. Great attention to detail on my favorite racecar! Makes me wanna build one. I'll be eagerly watching. Very nice work.
  20. WAY cool Mike, I'm brand new to this, my 1st, forum & still feeling my way around so to speak. Learning my manners. I will be excitedly patient with your progress. Thanx for your understanding. Bart
  21. Thanks High Octane, I'll give him a look. Thought of scratchin one, but my eyes ain't what they used to be and they don't play fair with my hands sometimes!
  22. Any opinions on who makes the most accurate K & N cone-type filters for modern fuel injection?
  23. Hey Mike, I wasn't trying to be pushy or influence YOUR choice of wheels. Just anxious to see this thru as I am attempting the same build & I assume you are more talented than I, as I have only completed only 1 model in over 30 years. I didn't mean to offend anyone. If I did,.I apologize. PLEASE keep this going!!!!!
  24. That's what I thought, too. I'm waiting for a reply from Ken, but at $22 a pop for his shortbed, I'll try sectioning one first. Plus I'll have the chrome trim on the kit bed!
  25. Love these trucks! I have been trying to locate a Chevy kit to replicate my 1:1 '70 shortbed phantom SS454, with no luck! I've been e-mailing Bandit Resins, Ken said the mold for the bed floor is toast, so I'll have to section mine as well. By the way, the "extra" bed length on the back lends it an altered wheel base look that I personally think rocks!! I did that on a 1:1 '62 Ford about 3 yrs ago & liked it so much, I left it that way!
