  1. It works! Thank you Harry. I just found my fuel pump! Man it's tiny.
  2. Excellent point. We all do get carried away at times. This build proves great results can come from keeping it simple as well.
  3. You might just be a lifesaver.
  4. They're no more than reference material.
  5. ROAD TRIP!!!!!!!!!!!!Nice ride
  6. Very ghoul build. Multi talented to boot (hill). Expressing a bent toward story telling.......& ending!
  7. I finished one about 4 yrs ago for a friend as a special request. Only one i finished since the late '70s. I guess I'll let you know in a few more years, lol! Seriously, I just pulled everything back out of the closet in October after an injury left me with lots of time on my hands. Then I got this cell phone with internet capabilities, figured out how to use it & discovered a whole new modeling world that didn't exist in the '70s! Resin, P.E. parts, new kits that I had to have, etc. I have started several, just to stall while waiting on parts. I've been having the time of my life, like a kid in the worlds biggest candy store! Now if someone would just ask me for a replica of..................
  8. Glad to see you're gettin after it, Mike! These things are hard to drop, especially in the front!
  9. I'm gonna follow this land yacht! If I can keep up, that is!
  10. OK. I'm either a philosophical genius or a village idiot. Either way, I came to this particular village because I have only finished 1 build in over 30 years. Ya'll got me side tracked & I'm hoping you only come here when paint/glue is drying. I built a very large part of K.C. Missouri area (KS. included) until the powers that be, using the technology that controls us all, decided there was no more $ to build with. Look at the S.E. corner of 135th & Metcalf. It was a ghost town when I had to leave nearly 3 yrs ago. Technology & the financial paranoia that accompanies it did away with a lot of incomes & family structure. I had to move to the armpit of TX because it was the only viable solution to keep my family together. I took on a series of menial jobs that I was not physically capable of doing, got injured, got reaquainted with my favorite childhood hobby, then met ya'll through technology that I never had time for before because I spent too much time building a society that ended up ---- on me. But hey, Let's build some models!!!!!!!
  11. Chicken or the egg? People make the technology, or technology make the people? Either way , society is changed forever & forever changing. I don't know about World War III, but World War IV will be fought with sticks & stones! Possibly the same stones I was grounded from using to "bang" my rolls of caps when I forgot to say "yes sir" to my Grandfather. A bit extreme perhaps, but it IS the road we're all on..... whether we're driving or not!
  12. Good to see you workin bro. Its a little beyond me now, but I hope to learn by watchin. please keep it up!
  13. I don't s'pose the original '69 issue "Cinder Bug" is rare?
  14. Pete J & SoCalCarCulture make excellent points. I am not meaning to put down technology. On the contrary, I'm quite grateful for it. I know it has made my life easier even though until very recently I'm not the one using it. It is turning our young people into a generation that doesn't know how to interface with people. It is erasing moral fiber to the point where manners are near non-existant. A whole new set of acceptable behavior is upon us where if a cell phone rings, that is reason to interupt a conversation, but one must wait until that call is concluded to resume person to person contact. I'm rambling now, but I miss hearing please, thank you, excuse me, yes sir or ma'am, etc. etc. from our young people.
  15. Reading through alot of these posts, I'm hearing alot of the same type of excuses I heard in rehab to justify addictive behavior. You can claim convenience, workaholic, or anything else. What I see mostly is addicts who want what they want when they want it. Nothing more or less than new age immediate gratification.
  16. Does anyone make a grille & valance to convert Revell's '50 Ford? Seems like that would fairly quick & easy for a talented caster.

NOW you're talkin'! Never realized what could be done with a snap kit. Poppin' color combo. Beautiful ride!
  18. Thanks guys, this helps a ton! Thought I bit off more than I could chew, but this should do it. MAD = Morgan Automotive Detail, www.madmodeling.com. Excellent parts, quick service. Kris Morgan is a member here.
  19. Anyone have pics of how to set up & wire a dual distributor on a hemi
  20. I am using a MAD dual distributor on a radical custom. I can't find any reference pics to help with set up & wiring. I really thought I could look at it & figure it out. any ideas?
  21. This is getting down right fascinating! excellent workmanship.
  22. Actually, the fenders DID change in '68 as that's when side marker lamps were incorporated. Other than the markers '67 & '68 were the same.
  23. Nice tip! will any other types of glue work, or does it need to be 2-part epoxy?
  24. That's a big reason I stick to street cars, the patience it takes for roll cages & frame work sadly left me long ago. I'm always impressed by those who still have it! Coming along nicely, Scott. keep em coming.
