  5. It's simple.....Don't.....F..-..up
  6. OMG!! I got cold feet on a trade recently!!! Is this about me? I'm new, I'm still learning!!!??
  7. Why can't we all just get along & play fair? I just made a trade that I'm afraid is gonna be one-sided.....in MY favor. I sent my end out before the other guy did, then he kept adding stuff on. He has several good refs. in the good trader section, so I trust him. If I feel I got "the better" of him, I will offer to make it right !!!! That's all it takes, guys.
  8. Ding...Ding...Dodgefever is the winner! I compared it to the '64 T-Bolt. It's very poorly done, but it does match up!
  9. That could explain my trouble identifying it, lol! Still it seems it would have to be based on something. No clues on the box or instruction sheet.
  10. That is the main engine. There i also a short block w/heads to display on the included engine stand. The "Resto Rod" kit I have also comes with a 3rd "Resto rod option" engine. It appears to be a Buick nailhead, but I'm not certain?
  11. Does anyone know what the optional engine is in AMTs '66 Nova "Resto Rods" issue ?
  12. Back in '69 or maybe '70, my big brother got a Daytona Charger model. It wasn't his first, but it's the one I remember because of the wing! I was fascinated by all the little parts, the smell of the glue, & just the fact that WE were building a car! Except there ended up being no WE! He was 11 & I was 7, & apparently I was somewhat of a pest (surely not, haha). After much arguing & fighting & him winning, my uncle took me out to pick my own model. I, of course, wanted a Daytona as well, but he talked me in to getting something that wood truly be my own. I picked Tom Daniels Bad News '60 Chevy sedan delivery. So while sitting across the table from my brother, working on MY car, I noticed he kept looking at me. Watching my progress, which was slow & sloppy. Before long, he was giving me tips & helping me out. We finished those models together as brothers should. Looking back, it makes me think our Uncle new what he was doing all along. My brother no longer builds models, but my 31 yr old nephew still does because his uncle got him started & was patient & helpful. So my most inspirationa model would have to be a '69 Daytona Charger. Or a '60 Chevy sedan delivery. Or both!
  13. Great concept, nice clean build. I like it!

Is there any interest in classic car/truck/hot rod portraits ? PM me if interested
  16. That's looking wickid, It's almost a shame to cover it up with numbers.
  17. To make molded in headlights appear more realistic, I use Sharpies. Put one tiny black dot directly in the middle. Use green and follow the bottom curve making athin line not quite halfway up. QUICKLY wipe it upward with your finger. Repeat with blue for the top. It gives the illusion of reflecting grass from the bottom and sky from the top. Other colors can be used on the bottom for different settings(yellow works well any time) but I Always use blue on top. Practice with non-permanent markers to get the feel.
  18. Cincinati Reds don't have anything to do with Indians, it's short for Red Stockings. Must mean something else?
  19. It does, thanks. I'm putting an '05 Magnum 5.7 in a '63 Fury. I know, sacrilege to "butcher" a collectible, but it will be nice!
  20. I think the front is more believable.
  21. I have a high IQ & it came from a desire to learn all I can. For some reason, when trying to transfer that desire to newer METHODS of learning, my desire has turned to frustration, then fear. I no longer go to the library because they replaced Dewey decimal system card catalog with computers. It's like learning a different language, and even though I know that language is more relevant now than any other I can I could learn, I can't muster up any desire to learn it!
  22. Lindberg 64 Maverick, Color me gone doesn't. Lindberg 61 Dyno Don Impala(fronts only) Lindberg&Jo-Han 64 Petty Belvedere. AMT 72 Blazer(backs are 5-lug)
  23. I'll be 50 in April & I finally broke down & got a cell phone in November! Still figuring it out. That's how I joined & communicate here on the forum. Our computer is not hooked up to the internet, but I don't know how to use it anyway. I would love to share my builds with ya'll but I can't figure any way to do it on this phone!? The last bit of technology I truly mastered was a ball-point pen, lol.
