  1. Andrew, Is he selling leftover stock or is he still making decals?
  2. Hey Chuck, What kind of wheels are those? Pegasus?
  3. Thanks Guys, I really appreciate it. Any questions let me know!
  4. One of the most iconic rods of all time for me was the Ala Kart. After four years of research and many telephone calls to the builders and AMT, much modification and scratchbuilding and a First in class award at the GSL Here's what can be done with the Original issue of the ala kart.
  5. Sorry, the best but still not totally not correct decals went out with Fred Cady !
  6. That's also the reason the second one was made from new molds. However the second issue was worse than the first. Remember though The ala Kart parts appeared in for more issues of the next few years. and still a few of the original parts appeared in the latest '29 Model A Kit. issued e few years ago.
  7. It's my understanding that the original molds for the Ala Kart were destroyed. many years ago. 38 Crush
  8. OUTSTANDING!!!!!!! Can't wait to get several. Art, Do you think it will be ready by Xmas ???? 38 Crush........However, in this case it could be '55 Crush
  9. Darn No Wires !!! 38 Crush
  10. You know, sometimes I think the resins guys play a big roll in all this. Modelhaus has a 300 custom and that would save people like Revell or AMT alot of tooling work. Maybe we should get the resin guys to do a 57/58 Ranchero and or wagon. we mightget it faster from the big guys !! Just a Thought !! 38 Crush
  11. So far I haven't heard anything solid about using that sedan tooling for a Ranchero or Station Wagon. But remember, in most instances you would need the to keep making the sedan. If you change to another version you need to change the molds and we still have the stock, custom and what ever other versions so they get their monies worth before anything is broke up. Therfore, I think it will be quite awhile before you see anything. 38 Crush
  12. Art, the reason I'm hoping for the wires is because I want to more or less scratch build the "Eclipes" by Ray Farner and those wheels would sure help get it going ! 38 Crush
  13. It's a 58 Ford Wagon.....Totally Cool !!! 38 Crush
  14. Does any know what wheels this kit is going to come with. Sure hope it's the wires! 38 Crush
  15. Yea, this year we went to the Evergreen museum for the model show. Everone else was there too. (SABA) The 50's bands they have had over the years were great but for some reason they have switched to younger bands...not good! 38 Crush
  16. Hey Jairus, What year did you go to Lincoln City. Was that this year? I've been there every year except this one. ( didn't like the band) Love the wagon though ! 38 Crush Harold
  17. If it makes it in September, It will be the 31st. and I don't mean the last day! 38 Crush
  18. Some of my better built models have already been requested by the Model Museum in Salt Lake city and they will go there. My Daughter will sell a few that will bring a few big bucks and I think the rest is going to a young modeler that doesn't have alot of money to spend on models, but loves them. I might have our local LHS help her decide who. 38 Crush
  19. 2011 will be my 57th year. I now 66. Started building models in 1954 and my first car was the Revell/AMT 1955 Buick. 38 Crush (or is it Crushed)
  20. Go to Badgerairbrush.com and bring up the 175 Crescendo instruction book and it shows the needle bearing you need Part# 41-012 and it says this bearing needs to be replaced at the factory and will be done at NO CHARGE! 38 Crush
  21. Hey Jim, Harold Perry here. I'm The one who restored the "Carnation" for you and the museum several years ago. Nice to hear from you again. I'm going to try and make it the NNL, but you know how money is now. Maybe I'll see you there. 38 Crush
  22. Don't forget to run the thread thru Bee's wax first. It will hold in all the fuzz. 38 Crush
  23. I agree with Cruz I've used Alclad over Testors gloss black for years and never had a problem. If your worried just remember to do it in light coats at low pressure and it will be ok. 38 Crush
  24. I have had a little luck in the past using a brand new exacto blade and carefully sliding the blade between the paint and glob. Sometimes it will just pop off and sometimes it will lift the paint. That's why you have to be very careful and try and slice between the two. However if it's in a bad spot ( a bend in the body or somwhere you can't get the blade in) this will not work very well. If it does pop off or seperate a light sanding with a clear coat(airbrush) and buffing will usually make it better. It will probably never be perfit. 38 Crush
