It was correctly pointed out to me that the gas line to the furnace was broken. This has been repaired. the Clark staff appreciate the heads up on this potentially dangerous situation.

Any help is appreciated. I've learned from my Clark station project just how helpful this board can be. There's a lot of knowledge out there!

I does mean a lot to me. What are the odds you'd find this build? I've had a lot of help from people on this board, and the building is much more accurate than it would have been without them. I haven't forgotten it, I just need to finish a few things first. I did get both toilets finished, I guess that's SOME progress. Thanks for the compliments, and stay tuned. Here's the overall look so far. There are more than 1000 rivets so far. Here's the interior. East to add details because it's so easy to work around. The partition between the cab and cargo area comes later. Another look at the front end. There will be a roll up rear door and sliding side doors. These began life as wheels on a New Ray 1/32 scale Peterbilt. I drilled out the toy wheel centers and added resin centers. The toy tires have real nice tread detail. These tires are smaller than an AMT big rig tire, but larger than my usual one ton tires. They are perfect for this application. I will post more as I progress!

I once thought I was buying kits to build them, but if I live to be 500 I'll never build them all. I keep buying "must have" kits, and when it comes time to choose a project, I scratchbuild something. Not going to get through the kits that way. I also get multiples of kits I really like, and I'm not sure why. What am I really going to do with three Open Road Chevy van campers?

It's made from the '77 model. I changed the front and back ends, and changed the seats. The hardest part was the bumpers. And thank you for the compliment!

Has the 70s version of the Ford 300 six ever been done in 1/25? Either plastic or resin.

That's a scratchbilt body. The main donor was the 1/24 ARII Thunderbird, but I've cut everything down to 1/25, the only automotive scale I use.

It was modified from this old kit.

The whole thing is plastic bent around round items until the curve pleased me, the rest is glued pieces and LOTS of primer and sanding. It would be nice to have more advanced tools, but my space and budget keep me a file and sandpaper guy. If I don't like the way a part looks, I'll do it over until I do. I've wasted SO much plastic! Some of the compund curves can be made with a super glue/ baby powder mixture. It's hard to sand, but very strong. I have never used putty, only this mixture. Much harder to work with than putty, but using it means the bodywork actually adds to the strength of the model body.

Here's the progress so far. I started a new thread to get rid of the "Another new project" title. Next time I'll just name the thread after what's in it. Vacation ends today, so progress will slow, but I'll post as things move along.

With the U-Haul stalled, I have some time on my hands. I decided to tackle what I consider to be a difficult project. Most of the difficulty is in making the hood, which I have now mostly finished. Now I need to find a close shade of brown...

I bought the wheel faces off of eBay some time ago. I grafted the faces onto the AMT C-600 round wheel parts. The C-600 also donated the tires. I'll be using these wheels again on a project I just started, which I'll post when progress is made.

Scratchbuilt the chassis from Evergreen and Plastruct plastic.

Some done, some not. I see my stuff all the time, anyone else have overviews of their builds similar to this?

I would be interested. That etch looks better than my scratchbuilt vents. I never knew the photoetch set existed!

I notice many builds omit this detail. I think it's worth adding, perhaps you will, too.

I have been forced to stop this project because of paint problems. I need to let the paint cure before I attempt a fix. Meanwhile, this is what I have done... Here's the 330 engine. This is the interior thus far. This is foil cast underhood detail. I believe a Bronco had the hood with the detail to start with. The model Bronco and pickup hoods are close, but don't interchange. Here's the overall effect. I hope I can keep my interest long enough to finish it.
