  1. Strange...I live in Columbus, Ohio, home of the Buckeyes, but some of the nicest people I've met in this hobby are from Michigan, home of the Wolverines. This hobby is really cool! P.S. I'll be rooting for you in your season opener.
  2. I'm not at home right now to look, but I think it's Duplicolor Hampstead Green.
  3. It's a mixture of the '77 and '70 Monte Carlo chassis. I wanted to keep the '77 chassis wheelhousings. As it turns out, just using the '70 chassis is better. That's what I did on the '74 Monte.
  4. Yes! Modified '77 with '70 chassis. (The '74 is a '70 chassis, the '77 is a mixture of '70 and '77 chassis.)
  5. I modified the 1973 Cadillac wheel cover. 2 sets were cast, and I've used them both, but I still have the master, Here's a shot of it before the finish work:
  6. For your (hopefully) viewing pleasure:
  7. For your amusement:
  8. But...it's...showroom stock! I didn't know you did those!!! Kidding aside, what a GREAT looking '68. I hope to see it in person some time. Very cool!
  9. Jeff, if you want to do the finish work (It's actually a little further along than the photo) I'll send it in. It doesn't seem like I'm ever going to get to it, especially with this Chevelle project.
  10. I'm scratchbuilding the grille currently. The horizontal bars stick out a bit further than the vertical bars, so nothing I had would work. Also, this way we get the correct amount of squares. Missing Link has been a huge help and supporter of this project.
  11. I can't see a picture, but is this what you're looking for?
  12. I had one of the "glob of resin" beds...I just threw it away. I don't know if this is the same caster the thread concerns, but I bought five beds off an individual (he can reveal himself if he chooses). The beds were inexpensive, perfectly servicable, mostly accurate (some liberties were taken with the inner bed floor and wheel wells, but not to an objectionable degree). You get a one piece bed with tailgate molded in (detail on both sides of tailgate), bed floor with wheel wells, and tailllights (regular resin, not red). I'm not at my own computer at the moment, so I can't post images yet. I don't know if this caster wants to do just beds or not, so I won't reveal his name, but he might want to consider doing so, as I think this ( and well done standard wheelbase '73- '79 Ford bed sides) are a market begging for a product. If anyone is interested, here's how I did mine : http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v625/Repstock/Ford%20pickup%20standard%20wheelbase%20bed/
  13. Sorry, everyone! I have the door panels from Magnum. I really need to check back more often. As Kevin said, I'm waiting on a few parts. All is proceeding smoothly.
  14. Does it say anywhere on their website what forms of payment they accept?
  15. This will be great! I really like the '70s cars...the more the better!
  16. Missing Link will be casting it. Great guys to work with.
  17. Thank you for keeping the whole thread together. If I were making this just for myself, I would have put it in the OTW section. In this case, the interested parties are probably here. Now that I think about it, that's pretty much what you said, isn't it?
  18. Further progress. I have other parts done as well, but this is the biggie.
  19. The wheel openings have been established. Next, the flares will be added. The model is slightly warped, so the driver's side view has the front end raised up a bit.
  20. Once the Chevelle (both SS and regular) and Laguna versions of the 1973 car are finished, it would be logical to then do a 1974 car. I can't give you a timeline on this, but that's the plan. I may even do a 1977 car much later, as there was one in my parents' driveway years ago.
  21. The idea is over time to add different noses and interiors to this basic kit. Something had to be first, and since the kit i was given was supposed to represent a 1973 model Chevelle, that's what I've started with. I was nearly finished with my own 1973 Laguna, but I hadn't changed the greenhouse and I'm not real satisfied with it. It will probably donate it's Laguna nose to a future version of this model. The resin company casting this is well known, and has high quality.
  22. This model is going to be cast in resin. This is a continuation of the 1974 Chevelle thread in the RESIN section. I promised progress reports. I have added the greenhouse of the 1975 Olds to the Chevelle body. This rids us of the chopped racing top and the malformed windshield area typical of the Chevelle/Laguna racing models. Also shown is the fit of the Olds chassis, which I plan to use for ease of molding. The model will feature an opening hood with some underhood detail. More pictures as I progress.
  23. I KNEW I was forgetting something. I need to get one of those...
  24. Some of these years may be a little off, but... Modelhaus, 1975 Impala 4 door Missing Link, 1975 Plymouth 4 door Missing Link, 1978 Ford 4 door Modelhaus, 1972 Ford 4 door AMT, 1970 Ford 4 door (both Galaxie and LTD) MPC, 1977 Plymouth 4 door Not '70s, but: JoHan, 1968 Plymouth 4 door There's probably more, but these spring to mind.
