  1. That is a sweet looking motor
  2. I just started watching this movie last night. This is going to sound bad but I can't remember if I've ever seen it before. Well I'm hoping to watch the rest tonight and hopefully be inspired. I'm not sure what I'll build but I'm sure it'll have a blue oval on it.
  3. This is a GREAT subject, I don't know what I'd build but I'm in.
  4. Thanks guys. That means a lot coming from this group of builders
  5. Getting back to my 68 KR-8. The body has been wet sanded and now its time to do some trim work. With some Bare Metal Foil (Brushed Aluminum), a ruler, Q-tip and toothpick I set to work. Except for some bumper work on my 65 2+2 I've yet to really get into using this stuff. Every little scrap can get used
  6. I had a teacher back in high school that use to have a Tiger. He had some great stories. Like every time he would punch it off the line he would feel this tap on his right leg. Turns out it was the cigarette lighter popping out from the force of launching off the line. I can't wait to see more of this build
  7. I remember seeing Killerdozer as a kid. Watching it now. I was surprised to see Robert Urich was in it. He was one of my favorite actors
  8. I think I missed something. Hypothetically If I was to buy this from you and then decided to ship it off to Australia or China or other parts unknown why would this upset you?
  9. Thanks Ryan. I sent him a PM last night.
  10. Way to cool, I'm surprised I haven't seen anyone else do this kit like this
  11. I didn't think it was so scary either but think it might have been the movie that gave Stephen King the inspiration for Christine
  12. I'm watching Duel as we speak and wet sanding two of my builds. Another car I would love to build would be Christine but I haven't looked into that yet.
  13. very cool. I think the hoods would be one of the difficult parts to replicate, well for me anyway. I would guess that any of the revell kits should do. I look forward to seeing your build Getting back to my 65 2+2 I really screwed the pooch on this one. As I was doing the smaller details I found that the paint on the trim kept coming off. It was then that I realized I never put a sealing cote on this. I figured it was to late at that point but it kept nagging at me. Well on a trip to my LHS I talked to the guy there and he showed me a product called Testors Wet finish. He said all I ad to do was spray it on and that was it. I was a bit hesitant but being the impulsive person that I am I decided to give it a shot. Well you'll see the results in the photos. Aside from all this I truly am happy considering how long it has been since I built a car. Live and learn, that's part of what this hobby is about, eh? One of the issues I caused is evident in this photo :wall: The T-5 fender badges The fender badge in place along with the engine badge I've learned a lot with this build and will do better on the next one. Now to figure out what that will be.

  15. Dirks 65 2+2 I was trying to add the bumpers when I discovered something. The front bumper had an ugly raised seem on both ends of the bumper (No photo, sorry). Using a blade and then some sand paper I removed the seems but then was left with a bumper without chrome on the ends. that's just not going to cut it. Paint would also not do it justice. Then I had an idea. Here was what I had after working out the seem here we are after applying the foil. Not perfect but it looks pretty ###### good from where I'm sitting. Needless to say I'm happy with the results
  16. Are these going to be dueling Eleanor's? Where where you able to get these from? Were they expensive? What will you be using to fill out the rest of the build? Did the body's Come with hoods?
  17. Nice work Agent P... Um... er Agent G.
  18. I was looking up car movies last night and my search led me to a 1977 thriller/horror film called The Car. The film stars James Brolin, Kathleen Lloyd, John Marley and Ronny Cox. In short the story is about a mysterious car which goes on a murderous rampage, terrorizing the residents of a small town. I won't lie to you it was a bad movie but I thoroughly enjoyed it. I'm a guy its in my geins to like bad movies. The main character in this movie was the car itself. A 1971 Lincoln Continental Mark III customized by George Barris, the creator of such cars as the 60's batmobile, the munsters coach, the Green Hornet's car and K.I.T.T. from Knight Rider. The reason I bring all this up is that I was wondering if anyone has tried to build this car from plastic? I myself don't have the skills but would love to see if it was done. Heck there are plenty of people here that could actually take this project on. Any takers?
  19. I gotta say this thread has really taken off in a short amount of time. Lots and lots of fun stuff going on here. I've been thinking if there is anything I could bring to the table but nothing has come to mind yet. That said I keep coming everyday and checking out the current builds.
  20. How do you like this kit so far? I got this for Christmas but haven't started it yet. Any pitfalls or issues I should be aware of?
  21. What the heck did they do, crush it with a storage container? Good lord
  22. Great idea for something different as the Saleen is poorly represented in the modeling world. I look forward to seeing more
