  1. Sweet! Nothing like a set of LaMans strips to make a car pop!
  2. Wow, that actually works for me. I like it.
  3. Fantastic!!!

    59 caddy

That is impressive and those are some wings.
  5. That is a thing of beauty
  6. Nicely done. I like it
  7. Very sharp. Thanks for sharing
  8. For $62 that ain't gonna happen. I'll do with out
  9. I think with a little heat persuasion form a heat gun or hair dryer you could get the Saleen exhaust to fit if you really want it to. What is the ultimate goal of this build? A Saleen with the 2008 motor and parts or a 2008 with the Saleen motor?
  10. Fitting the interior tub into the body I don't have any photos to show this next issue but after fitting the tub in place which fit nicely in the cockpit area I found that the engine compartment walls didn't match up with the body. There was almost a 3/16 inch gap. Using some clamps, a soft rag to protect the finish and some CA glue I forced the kit to see things my way I rarely win any arguments with my models but I won this one. Time to mount the body and interior on the chassis. Well things are back to normal. I lost the battle with this one but not the war. The cost was that the front suspension fell off the car. As I tried to remount the front suspension another issue arose that I wasn't suspecting. For some unknown reason the front of the car was riding high. Sorry no pics After lots and lots of fiddling it appeared that the springs and shocks were topping out in the wheel wells so I chopped them down a bit and remounted the front suspension. It helped a little but not as much as I hoped The only other thing I could come up with to lower the front was to start shaving the frame where the cross member meets the frame. I also ended up grinding down the frame. the amount of plastic removed does not accurately reflect the height the car was lowered but it is a bit better. Thanks for looking

  12. I've been working on the Mustang Mach III for a little while and thought since it is a direct decedent to this group of Mustangs I'd post some of the build here. So here is my fat bottom girl the Mustang Mach III There she sits with two cotes of color Interior shots You can find the full story and build here http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=53174 Thanks for looking
  13. I should post my Mach III build there.
  14. I believe those go here http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=47792
  15. I need to get one of these Caprice's. This is the type of car I drove when I worked for the NJSP.
  16. I added 3 or 4 cotes of clear. I hate to admit it but I lost count. Added the black to the lower back and front of the car Some touch up work will be required but nothing major Side vents get a few cotes of black Here are the tail light lenses. They came out of the box in chrome and then I added some Model Masters clear red Before After, I actually like the way it looks Next time I'll be adding the interior tub to the body. Thanks for looking
  17. I was thinking the same thing
  18. Where did that dash come from?
  19. Welcome to the forum. I look forward to seeing some of your builds
  20. I'm loving this one Mike. I'm a huge fan of the Fox body Saleen Mustangs. How are you planning to do the side skirts and the side stripes?
  21. Just last week I was planning on doing the very same build so I bought the AMT 73 Mustang. Once I opened the box all hopes were dashed. It can't be done with that kit. Maybe in another time and place I'll do it but for now I'll settle on watching you build yours.
  22. As far as the car commercials go I thought the Audi one was the best followed by the one with Jerry Seinfeld. The Budweiser commercials were a lot like the beer itself. AWFUL!!!!
