Here's the 65. After the second cote dried I set to work on smoothing and polishing the ole stang Time to do some detailing of the body starting with the engine bay

It came out better then I thought but there is still plenty of touch up required. Thanks for looking

Thanks everyone. As you may have experienced yourselves bench time has been kinda limited this last week. I did however make some small advancements. Work continues on the 68. Another modification was relocating the battery to the trunk for better weight distribution. The crumb like things directly above the shock tower is whats left of the kit battery. :rofl: Using some Evergreen stock I re-skinned the battery compartment Now for a little sanding and we'll be ready for some paint

Love the Shelby (Have one in stash) and love the Drag-U-La car. I really want one of those. What was it like to build? How do you do your seatbelts? Tape and PE buckles? If so where do you get the buckles from?

That's a very cool thing that your wife and kids all build. It's also cool that she is building for a complete stranger.

This is great. I would think that if you wanted to you could keep it as is with the cardboard. The cardboard looks to be heaver duty kind and should last a while. Just ducktape the seems. Of course mounting the motor could be an issue
