  1. now, the junkyard theme I could get into as well. it would give give me a chance to participate AND practice some weathering.
  2. That looks great!
  3. I am just glad that you are here and able to go through this change. This not being able to rely on your self, is that permanent? Or will you be able to gain more independence over time? IE: live near family, but not with family etc.
  4. Randy, the bed was a "what if" thought. Considering the motor is a bit much for the rear rubber and every day driving, I was thinking of placing two drag wheels in the bed, to give it that look like the driver took it to the track on the weekends. Like some of the AMT pie crust slicks, weathered up a bit. If that was being tossed into the bed, then he would want a little more robust bed. Unfortunately, I did not get the wheels in place before the last show. I might still stick them in there, I am not sure yet.
  5. Thank you everyone. I realized that there were no pictures of the chassis or front in, so I am including a few now.
  6. cool story, thanks for sharing. I too have really only enjoyed the reels regular chrome. the black and gold rubbed off, and as pointed out the ultra was just hard to work with. I do think "old" BMF loses its "stick" over time, but I have never really had issues with still using it.
  7. Good looking model
  8. I like the looks of that. I am from the GM factory town of Anderson, IN and the takes me back to the 70s when I would sometimes go to our high-banked 1/4 mile oval Sun Valley Speedway and watch the cars run.
  9. Very nice results Steve. That makes several cool uses I have now seen for Laser Bond. I may have to check that stuff out. I have some nice spare lenses in my stash, but I am hesitant to use them and then be stuck without replacements. Using this, I could cast up several copies to have on hand at any given time. Really like the duel tubing idea to retain as well, very ingenious.
  10. Nice work modifying those seats
  11. Nice job on the raggedy seats! What did you use for the foam backing? Not overly thick lie I have seen before.
  12. Glad to read from you Harry. I wish you a great recovery.
  13. Excellent photograph.
  14. Welcome back! you are in good company on this forum.
  15. Prayers said, and well wishes sent. I genuinely hope he recovers.
