  1. Not too bad but still simplistic. I have a 2WD LUV with the California step side in my stash as an old built-up waiting for restoration.
  2. Hi all, I was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction of information and pictures of the light bar depicted in the MPC Dukes of Hazzard Dodge Monaco (Roscoe's car) kit? I am looking to use the light bar on another build and just wanted to make sure it would be appropriate.
  3. Just as long as they reissue the Monogram LUV and not the Revell LUV; what an waste of plastic that one is.
  4. The AMT kit has been issued in several guises, including the short box above, as well as: Regular cab long box: Regular cab flareside: Lightning: As well as a snap kit and several promos of the RCLB. These kits are all 2WD trucks with the 5.8L engine and an automatic transmission. If you want to build a 4x4, you will need to pick up one of the MPC/AMT Broncos, latest issue here: If you want to build a 4x4 version with a manual transmission, you will need to pick up a Lindberg '97 F-150 for the appropriate transmission and transfercase, any one of these three: The last two kits also have a really good set of BFG All-Terrain tires. The AMT's 5.8L can be modified into a 5.0L with some sanding of the displacement from the intake and if you want to built a 4.9L six-cylinder you will need this resin kit from Ken Kitchen: http://public.fotki.com/KenK/kitchen_table_resin_kits/ford-bix-6-300-ci-w/ Hope this helps!
  5. Maybe that's what I'm thinking of.
  6. He's a smart-aleck, that one. I've seen him covered in paint head-to-toe to prove it!
  7. I seem to remember one of the Omni/Charger kits having the flares, too...
  8. They're not very close. And the bellhousing is completely different: the Ranger kit has a Cologne V6 bellhousing. For the correct M5OD-R2 for an F-150 you want the Lindberg 97 F-150 kit. Will need to fabricate a tailshaft or rob one from somewhere if doing a 2WD kit.
  9. I knew that one, I guess I was thinking more of the Chevy stepside. Still no stock Blazer high roller. They did both an F-150 and a Bronco...
  10. Nice catalogue! Makes one wonder why they never made either a GM pickup High Roller or a Blazer High Roller. I guess the Pulldozer is enough of a fuzzy middle ground... Although, it shows that all the Blazer issues had the tiny door handle. Where any ever produced with the correct sized handle?
  11. My dad once worked for a company out of Indiana for a short while. At the time he was picking up in IN and bringing back to NB.
  12. Finally remembered to check my Bronco kits: the hoods do indeed have the FORD lettering.
  13. Steve Milberry has mastered this and last I heard it was at a caster getting copied. It looks great!
  14. They've been cranking 'em out consistently since the 1967 C10 hit showroom floors. Last reissue was 2004, so we're about due for a return.
  15. Here's a link to the kit history I did for the 67-72 GM pickup line: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=69861 With the way Round 2 works these days, it is hard to say when/if they will reissue the 72 Fleetside. I would love to see them pull out all the extra tooling bits and include the tow truck and fire truck options.
  16. I can see the 73-74 Caprices, but the 76 is just so ugly!
  17. I often get confused when seeing outlandish prices for things online, then I check and convert currencies and sometimes it ends up not being so bad.
  18. I can't remember if it does or not... I'll check tonight when I'm home.
  19. Funny, they have the same address and phone number...
  20. Ah yes, that might be the difference. The ones I've seen weren't factory sealed but all the bags inside were unopened.
  21. It fits. The hoods are interchangeable, too. I have previously built a 79 F-150 from a 77 F-350 kit and a phantom 77 Bronco.
  22. I have a Model King-boxed 69 GTO funny car and a buddy of mine has the later Round 2 issued kit and both had the same slicks in them: one Goodyear, one Racemaster. I have a feeling someone mis-matched the mold inserts.
  23. That is actually Argentine pesos, which would be about €86.
  24. Geological engineering trainee. Which means I did all my schooling but have to wait a few more months for my Professional designation.
  25. Hmm, I think you may have overpaid a touch! That kit averages around $50-60 these days. I managed to grab one for $30 that had been started slightly.
