They're not very close. And the bellhousing is completely different: the Ranger kit has a Cologne V6 bellhousing. For the correct M5OD-R2 for an F-150 you want the Lindberg 97 F-150 kit. Will need to fabricate a tailshaft or rob one from somewhere if doing a 2WD kit.

I knew that one, I guess I was thinking more of the Chevy stepside. Still no stock Blazer high roller. They did both an F-150 and a Bronco...

Nice catalogue! Makes one wonder why they never made either a GM pickup High Roller or a Blazer High Roller. I guess the Pulldozer is enough of a fuzzy middle ground... Although, it shows that all the Blazer issues had the tiny door handle. Where any ever produced with the correct sized handle?

Finally remembered to check my Bronco kits: the hoods do indeed have the FORD lettering.

Steve Milberry has mastered this and last I heard it was at a caster getting copied. It looks great!

They've been cranking 'em out consistently since the 1967 C10 hit showroom floors. Last reissue was 2004, so we're about due for a return.

I would love to see them pull out all the extra tooling bits and include the tow truck and fire truck options.

I can see the 73-74 Caprices, but the 76 is just so ugly!

Ah yes, that might be the difference. The ones I've seen weren't factory sealed but all the bags inside were unopened.

It fits. The hoods are interchangeable, too. I have previously built a 79 F-150 from a 77 F-350 kit and a phantom 77 Bronco.

I have a Model King-boxed 69 GTO funny car and a buddy of mine has the later Round 2 issued kit and both had the same slicks in them: one Goodyear, one Racemaster. I have a feeling someone mis-matched the mold inserts.

Hmm, I think you may have overpaid a touch! That kit averages around $50-60 these days. I managed to grab one for $30 that had been started slightly.

I agree with Darrin; I love a lot of the subjects MPC produced. Sometimes the kits aren't up to modern standards but the subjects are what is the best.

MPC squarebody Chevy pickups. I have almost all of the issues.
