  1. I don't know, but that front clip looks fibreglass to me. The body shell actually appears to be one piece; I can't see a parting line where a seperate fender should.
  2. Did Ford offer dually beds for dentsides or are they all aftermarket conversions? :I wondered that when watching episodes of Trucks! with Project Super Dually, which has the same fender extensions as this example. The fender extensions look similar to Courier stepside fenders...
  3. I really dislike the prices he sets for all of his parts, but there were times when I've considered paying his prices simply because he was the only source. Thankfully I managed to find parts kits for the bits I was looking for at a fraction of the price.
  4. Hope that Fall Guy didn't set you back too much.
  5. For inspiration look into the GMC V12, which was almost two V6 engines sharing one block. Lots of common components with the V6 engines and I think dual distributors.
  6. I can't say for the others but the Cougar's box was the same box board as regular model boxes. At least, the one I have is.
  7. I've never trusted plastic idlers, and I never will. I can never forgive them...for the death of my belt.
  8. I rarely purchase parts from brick-and-mortar stores anymore. If I do, it is the one that has the cheapest whatever it is I'm looking for. Far more economical for me to order the parts online, ship it to my US PO box, and drive 1.5 hours to pick it up than it is to buy local!
  9. Nine speed transmission? But I would have to say that for today's markets, this is exactly what is needed. You have to go up to something based on a full-sized pickup to get a serious SUV these days with everything else being based on a car platform. All Jeep's competitors in this size range are similar, based on a mid-sized car. Can't blame them for wanting to complete appropriately.
  10. I'd love to have those two kits: the 88 to make Sheriff Harry S. Truman's Bronco from Twin Peaks and the 92 to make Sheriff Longmire's Bronco.
  11. Have you tried Rock Auto?
  12. Airfix-branded Fall Guy:
  13. The Hollies have a deeper offset and different slot sizes also. Look at the pictures side-by-side and you'll see the differences.
  14. My uncle once had a 78 Bronco with the same colour combination and a white top. Looking good!
  15. The transmission in the AMT 69-72 Blazer looks mighty close, too. The Monogram 1980 F-150 kit looks to have a T-5, which is totally wrong for a full-size truck. Monogram CJ-7 has Muncie by the looks of things, and the MPC WWII Jeep has a transmission-shaped blob hanging off the engine...
  16. I'm looking to build an AMT IH Scout II with a manual transmission. My research suggests that the 4-speed transmission in one of these trucks would bu a T19 and I'm hoping the vast knowledge base here can identify where I might find one. Otherwise I'll just stick in a Muncie...
  17. Picked up the Model King/Revell 57 Ford police car last night at the club meeting.
  18. I'm irked that my new TV provider bundles Spike with premium channels.
  19. Picked up another eBay parcel this weekend down at my US PO box (the Fall Guy version)... My MPC squarebody collection is now 78% complete (still need Super Dualie and Hardcastle & McCormick). If I can find unbuilt versions of the Mule Skinner and Dust Devil on the cheap I might pick them up. My Mule Skinner and the 84 GMC swapped beds; the Chevy Shortbed kit is unbuilt in box plus the built-up in front. I also have half of the Blazers..
  20. What if Canada's Mercury truck division had gotten their version of the Bronco; what would it've been called? What if GMC had kept its pickup line more divergent from Chevrolet and developed a new BB V6? What if Ford had competed with the Suburban in North America from day one (lots of Ford pickup-based wagons in South America)?
  21. This is awesome. Someone needs to record this.
  22. They have it listed with an MSRP of $34.99, $5 more than the Chrysler 300B; interesting. Maybe multiple building options?
  23. Another phantom engine is the DOHC Hemi in the AMT pro-street Road Runner and Super Bee kits.
  24. But seriously, though, what if GM had been involved in bailing out American Motors? Say they went through with their rotary engine and both the Vega and the Pacer got it. Both cars fly off dealer lots and the Kenosha plant helps build Vegas instead of Chryslers...
