  1. The Del Rio kit has sailed. Figure late June into distribution and early July to retailers.
  2. Working in distributon at the time, we were all over that Stude, in terms of sales. However, I can see why Wal-Mart and the other big-box stores were less than thrilled. Their buyers probably didn't see the potential in the kit, given their audience for plastic kits at the time, I can see why.
  3. Mark is right. Only wire wheel caps are in the '54, and my example has that vague, not quite polished look. I think it'll be no issue at all. The kit is just gorgeous!
  4. Emmmm. June will not be the release date for this highly anticipated kit. Sorry to be the bearer of that news. Late summer is where it's at now.
  5. Greg brought the book's attention to the forum. All I did was comment on it. Enthusiastically! Thank you Greg!
  6. Traditional hot rods in ink? Let's line 'em up. Hop Up magazine has just been revived. Street Rodder still does their part. Rodding USA is coming on strong! The Rodders Journal? Expensive? Yes. Worth every penny (dollar). Hot Rod Deluxe? I'm a HUGE fan! Plus a few out of the land of Oz, and I'm catching up on them, budget allowing (postage is a killer).
  7. I have a copy of 50 Years Of Rod & Custom here at work, and I highly recommend it to anyone with an interest in the magazine itself, or some of the great feature cars and personalities from way back when. Just a great book!
  8. Times two! Hot rods tend to be uber modified, whacked, hacked and reconfigured in too many ways to count. I could care less about the roof insert or the firewall "irregularities" in that A kit. I just want it! Now!
  9. Like Brett said! I'd be tossing the firewalls anyway, and replacing them with flat sheet stock. Or something.
  10. Agreed on the wallet part. I see multiples of the roadster and coupe in my stash!
  11. I'm still waiting for the bullet nose Studebaker AMT/ERTL announced about fifteen years ago. In plastic.
  12. Pow! Out of the park! That looks to be a GMC 4-71 blower on the engine in the coupe shown on the right! Outstanding!
  13. The '54 Hudson arrived in distribution earlier this week. They've already begun shipping to a local hobby shop near you! The wire wheels are in the kit, and they're nice!
  14. Oh wow! Where's Thommy Geiger? He'd be all over this. D'ohh! He's in Salt Lake City for the GSL!
  15. June is the tentative release date. April Revell new release schedule 4_6_15 (3).pdf
  16. Like Jim K. said! Clear the bench! That's my plan, and I can't wait! I have a few projects to "button up: until then, but I figure the '29 should be in stores by July. Assuming Revell gets them "on the water" in due time.
  17. I saw test shots recently, and the engraving is off the hook! That will be one killer kit! I plan on getting a few, and I don't have to sneak them by my wife! She also doesn't need to sneak her endless stream of new shoes past me. All good!
  18. I'll be heading out to NNL East tomorrow afternoon from my work location. Should be at the host hotel by 4 PM or so.
  19. Test shots and built examples of the '29 will also be on display at NNL East this weekend.
  20. Like Marc said! Ante up more money and get a Pace Booth. It'll be an excellent investment in your hobby, and your safety.
