  1. Thanks for the encouragement guys ! And yes , the front bumper is going to get tucked .
  2. I really like The Impala SS too , and when this kit first came out I couldn't believe it was designed by ThomTaylor . . . it was soooo ugly ! I really haven't changed my mind , I just like wagons so I though I'd dig it out of my stash and give it a try .
  3. Thanks Chad . It needed some improvement !
  4. Sorry , I guess I never said . This is it . Edit - Ignore the " Skill Level 2 " . In my opinion it's a " 1 " !
  5. I decide the roof should have the side to side grooves in it like the original Nomads . I removed that section of the roof , sanded it smooth , and used a small round file to put the grooves in it . In less than two hours the piece was re - glued in place and it looked pretty decent . It's hard to see them in the photos .
  6. Looks awesome Tye ! Love those decals !
  7. Very nicely done Nick ! It looks sharp in that color . Have a great new year !
  8. Never get tired of seeing this magnificent work of art ! Did you ever meet up with Mr. Clayton and get some pics of him with your model ? I don't recall seeing any .
  9. Okay , the first thing I did was give the longroof a chop and move the entire roof forward about 1/4 inch . This allowed the tailgate to be repositioned so it was angled forward like an original Nomad . The first photo shows the stock roof line . I plan on doing a bit more this evening and will post the results tomorrow . Happy New Year !
  10. I've had this kit for a while and since it is being reissued I thought I'd take a shot at building it . It's a very basic kit and should be a Skill Level 1 . Very low parts count and most details are molded in . After looking at the body and photos of the real car I realized it was kind of ugly and needed some help ! So out came the razor saw and the fun began . Since I can only post photos as a reply they will be here soon .
  11. Great looking custom ! !
  12. Wow , that's purty !!! Beautiful Vette .
  13. Great looking stuff ! Really like the " T " !
  14. That is really cool !! Lots of detailing everywhere especially underneath . And it looks great all opened up ! Nice job .
  15. She's a beauty ! Unusual color tho' . . . too light to be Med Ivy Green .
  16. Found these pics online , it is definetly a Strombecker . Thanks for your input .
  17. I was thinking Strombecker but couldn't find any photos of a similar chassis . Go ahead and use my photos if you know some one who can help . Thanks .
  18. Those are beautiful ! I'm a pushover for early Fords so I really like the first two . Great stuff !
  19. I wouldn't have known you were new to the hobby if you hadn't told us ! Excellent work and good luck in 2013 !
  20. Really beautiful stuff ! How did I not see these before ?
  21. I guess my question wasn't very clear . I know it's a Cheetah . I also know that it is not a Cox Cheetah . I'm trying to I.D. the manufacturer .
  22. Excellent builds ! And congratulations on the new addition to your family !
  23. Very beautiful builds ! You do very nice work , congrats on a great year !
  24. A good friend got this slot car in a lot off of ebay . We've been trying to I.D. it with no luck . I thought the body might be a Stromberg but the chassis looks newer . Any ideas ?
  25. Really sharp looking GSX ! The detailing of the front and rear and the engine is great . We all see things in our own photos . . . I personally use them during a build to find things that I missed !
