Outstanding finished product.

I was just glad to see Revell got a few important details right on the GT-H: hood, front fascia, grill work, wheels (even though tires look like truck tires), strut tower brace, air intake system. I didn't buy the GT-H but it looks like an improvement to the '05 & up GT kit. Still waiting on the GT500KR release.

I'll take a few of the Mustang GT500KR and Bullitt. "KR" may stand for "Knight Rider" after I get my hands on one.

. . . Or it's preparing for the long Ohio winter since I can't spray inside or outside (don't have a booth). I decided this year to prep/paint as many bodies as possible to keep the production line going. In the last few days here's what I've done: 1. Knight Rider 4000 body painted 2. 2006 Mustang body painted 3. cab, hood, and drum painted for my IH cement mixer (really need to finish since I started it in March 2007!) 4. JADA GT500 body prepped 5. Camaro concept body prepped This is all being done so I clear out my stockpile of kits; BTW just ordered a Lindberg Charger SRT8 Super Bee today. I'm obsessed with this hobby.

Just picked one up from the local Hobby Lobby last night, not a bad looking kit for a die-cast company. -
My Big Rig Is Finished

Now, that's a rig with a load that kicks a#%. -
Great build; I built the clear body version of this car about 10 years ago. Definitely the best graphics I've ever seen on a race car.

The AK/Canadian Hauler looks great in that color scheme; keep the pics of the lowboy coming too. -
A Question For The Pete Experts
weirich1 replied to weirich1's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
Tim, thanks for the words of encouragement. I just measured the wrecker body and the dump box, both are 6-5/8" long, looks like the conversion should be fairly easy. This one might hit the bench next week. -
Can the '02 re-issue of the AMT Pete wrecker be converted into a dump truck using AMT's dump gravel trailer? The dump gravel trailer calls for the Mack DM-600/-800 or IH tractor but I was wondering if the Pete would work. If so has anyone done it? Tim? I've got both in the cabinet, thought it would be fun to build a dump truck. I'll add the heavy duty bumper from the Revell Germany Alaskan Hauler, may use the dump trailer wheels, throw in an extra axle. I'd appreciate some input.

Dave, It is the car used in the '91 TV movie. The box art picture has the car sitting against a black/blue background, so it appears to be the re-release. Hopefully it will arrive by the end of the week so I can verify. Like I said in my previous post, I'll modify it to improve the model; got a couple of donor kits lined up and the spare parts box. This car might have a lot of influence from the new Knight Rider since those donor kits are all late-model Mustangs . . .

I just bought the 'Knight Rider 2000" car off ebay. I've heard this model isn't that great but that's where the bashing & modding will come in to make a decent KITT. The obvious mod: the body won't be red! Tried to get get the original KITT T/A but auction ended before I got online this morning. Hoping Revell makes the new GT500, it will be easier to mod than the Mustang GT to make the new KITT. BTW, I will be watching the new movie tonight.

Please, no more 'stangs that look like 4x4s.

Sweet ride! I built one a few years back and it is an exceptional kit.

Found some thin plastic (looked likes a piece you get when you buy epoxy), cut thin strips to fit inside the wheel. Next I was able to push a Revell wheel back into the Pegasus wheel. Just have to wait and see if this assembly will fit the fender well properly.

Weirich1's Review Of Revell's '06 Mustang Gt
weirich1 replied to weirich1's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
It's done and looks great; now I really wish I would have built right after I bought it. All that's left is just some clearcoat over the decals. Now I want the real car (again)! I'll post pics in the near future. -
Weirich1's Review Of Revell's '06 Mustang Gt
weirich1 replied to weirich1's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Body to chassis assembly is definitely the tightest fit I've ever seen, but it's great. Down to the final assemby, all that remains are headlight covers, tail lights, turn signals, mirrors, windshield, rear window, and decals. This kit rocks! -
Weirich1's Review Of Revell's '06 Mustang Gt
weirich1 replied to weirich1's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Everything is still progressing smoothly. Glad to see Revell changed how the wheels attach with the pins and retainers. Chassis is complete, working on the interior now. Just got the final paintwork done on the body. BTW, just wish I would have found www.scaleproduction.de sooner, this thing would definitely have the Saleen supercharger on it instead of stock intake manifold. Maybe their Eleanor body work too. -
My pink Mustang will be added to this topic once it's completed.

Weirich1's Review Of Revell's '06 Mustang Gt
weirich1 replied to weirich1's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Chassis and engine are progressing extremely well as of today. Have to pay attention to the alignment of intake plenum 58 onto riser tubes 63/64 in step 1D; risers are a little wider than plenum. I used Testors Model Master Enamel bottle and spray on the body work, no reactions between plastic and paint. -
Just got done modding the center posts with the "Chicago Electric Rotary Tool" and re-drilled the axle rod hole. May have to do a little more modding once I test fit the chassis to the body. Thanks for the ideas. As of December 30th around 5pm: just finished removing what was left of the center post, going to devise another way to attach.
