  1. Very nice builds! I can't even finish one kit in a weekend. They look awesome. Beautiful paint too.
  2. Turned a mistake into a masterpiece! Looks very realistic.
  3. Nice build!
  4. Ok, cool. I can handle that. I did that with a Citation Turbo kit to build a base Citation.
  5. Guys, thank you so much for all the great comments. You folks are the ones who keep me going! It really means a lot to me. I'm so glad I found this forum, the magazine, and the fellowship of everyone here.
  6. Finally got around to restoring my old DeSoto kit that I built when I was about 12 years old. I stripped it, sprayed in 60 DeSoto Winterberry Red Metallic, white roof, correct red, black and white interior with charcoal metallic dash top, all chrome was stripped and sprayed with Spaz-Stix, and finally BMF. Tires are some old ones that I had used on the original build way back when. I simply cleaned them up and used them again. The engine is in there, and it's sprayed the correct color, just not a whole lot of detail on these JoHan engine bays, so I chose to take pics with the hood closed. Anyway, I'm glad I kept my DeSoto since the '80's, and very happy I completed it's resto. Once I was done, I think I felt as good as I did the first time I built it over twenty five years ago! That's what's great about modeling. You never loose that great feeling when something turns out to your expectations.
  7. I've been thinking about doing a Regal out of the GN as well. I only wish it were 1:25 instead of 1:24. What's involved in the changes to the exterior of the kit?
  8. I believe we are related. Those pods look fantastic on it!
  9. I can't remember what I posted on this thread before, but I think it was my Manx and my Scout. Here's a cool shot of my '26 flathead powered T sedan.
  10. That looks fantastic! I have an old built that I plan on restoring. Hope it comes out half as nice as yours!
  11. Pretty wild! I love 4 doors. (I know, I'm not in the majority!)
  12. Too cool! I need to get one of these kits. That's something you don't see on the build table every day.
  13. Beautiful build! Like you said, just a couple of small old style sponsor decals would be perfect.
  14. That's killer kool, and the 3D printed bed is fantastic! These trucks look so much better with longbeds.
  15. Still looks fantastic, but my vote goes for the redlines.
  16. I read about this one years ago too! Good to see it again, and it's holding up very well.
  17. Looks great! It's similar to the way I built mine. I like the side pods on it. Did you scratch build them or are they resin?
  18. Would be nice to have one of these to build. My neighbor had one brand new, same color of the one in the Chevy ad.
  19. That's a beauty! Colors are fantastic on it.
  20. Very realistic weathering. I drove one just like it for a winter car up north years ago. Was rusty just like yours!
  21. Pretty wild. The worn paint on the top of the dash is very cool!
  22. Another beautiful build, Rich! Beautiful foil work, and lot's of it too! Does look to be sitting kind of high however. I need to get one of these. Do the exhaust tips come with the kit?
  23. Looks great! Paint looks great too, and I love that color on these.
  24. I love the plain trucks! That looks fantastic!
  25. Sad to hear that. No wonder the originals are so expensive.
