Finally got around to restoring my old DeSoto kit that I built when I was about 12 years old. I stripped it, sprayed in 60 DeSoto Winterberry Red Metallic, white roof, correct red, black and white interior with charcoal metallic dash top, all chrome was stripped and sprayed with Spaz-Stix, and finally BMF. Tires are some old ones that I had used on the original build way back when. I simply cleaned them up and used them again. The engine is in there, and it's sprayed the correct color, just not a whole lot of detail on these JoHan engine bays, so I chose to take pics with the hood closed. Anyway, I'm glad I kept my DeSoto since the '80's, and very happy I completed it's resto. Once I was done, I think I felt as good as I did the first time I built it over twenty five years ago! That's what's great about modeling. You never loose that great feeling when something turns out to your expectations.
