  1. Awesome! Great weathering!
  2. That's a knockout!
  3. Good thing about BMF is that you didn't mess up your model, because you can always pull it off and re-apply if you screw up.
  4. I'll second that! Got to find some tires for the wheels you wanted to use. They would look badazz on that thing.
  5. Sweet save!
  6. Thanks very much guys, for all the favorable comments. I know the plug wires are supposed to go under those little hold downs on the valve covers. I should have took some time to fabricate a couple out of sheet stock, but I finished this thing a day before it was due at our show!
  7. Super nice! Wheels look great on it.
  8. Awesome! Love the rust holes and the weld lines on the top chop.
  9. Oh yeah! Just beautiful! Love the color on this too. I'm trying to grab a '69 to build. I like the variation in the '69 grille. Can't wait to see that Renwal Packard!!
  10. Ditto that.
  11. That looks stunning Al! I detail all my promos too. I just can't leave them alone.
  12. I like it. Looks better with those quarter windows opened up. Great color!
  13. The Revell 50 Oldsmobile kit was our club build this year. There were no rules, so our member's builds ranged from mild to wild. I was the only one who did a stock one. If you notice, the roofline is longer than the stock kit. I used a 2 door sedan resin body from Model Car World (very nice product) instead of the kit Club Coupe body. Color is stock Crest Blue with Serge Blue roof. Other than the body, dist/wires and fuel line, it's all box stock.
  14. That's pretty wild. I read the description before I looked at the pics, and I sure wasn't expecting that.
  15. Beautiful clean build! I can't wait to build one of these.
  16. Looks great! It's always fun to build something different once in a while.
  17. It's actually a fairly common trend in the lead sled world to have the roof finished and the car unfinished. I think it looks great! Very nice weathering on the paint. I do agree with Harry about the tires though. Love the rims though, seems like they just need some wide whites on them.
  18. Beautiful, Ron!
  19. Pretty crazy, Jim, but it does look cool like that!
  20. This is the best one of these I've seen! Beautiful! It's funny, but if I were to have bought one of these, I would have gotten white walls too. Just call me old school I guess.
  21. Very, very nice!
  22. Looks great Al! Those tires are awesome!
  23. That is very nice! Great conversion work! I had a 2 door Monarch that was cream and gold two tone, straight six, mags and white letter tires, nice little car. Also had a loaded Jade green Granada 4 door sedan, 302. I liked both of them.
  24. Awesome! Now I don't have to try and convert one of the old drag racing bodies to build a stock one. What all comes with the kit, and how to order one?
  25. I was going to say the same thing. Try grinding holes from the back. That way you don't get that "thick" look. I love your worn paint! Looks awesome!
