  1. I use a product called Formula 113, available from one guy (the manufacturer) out of Lakeland, Florida.
  2. I feel the same way.
  3. That is killer cool! From the 392 Hemi to the tires/wheels, you've replicated my dream rod right there!

    '50 Olds

Nice build. Great paint and foil.
  5. Stunning! Can't wait to get one of these myself.
  6. This is a pre-finished Polar Lights kit that I got for five bucks, so I figured I'd pop it together. I did strip the chrome from the valve covers and air cleaner, and painted the engine correctly to resemble a 383. The body color is right on for '65 Dodge Dark Turquoise Metallic, but the interior was wrong, so I shot the seats white, and dash medium turquoise, with black floor. The body is right out of the kit, just polished up a bit. I didn't bother with foil or engine wiring on this one, just a fun quick build. I think it still looks ok with my other kits and promos. White walls from Vinyl Nation are on the kit supplied tires. I did lower the suspension in the back, as these things have a tendancy to sit too high in the rear. I also used parts box Mopar exhaust manifolds.
  7. More than welcome too Darrell. I think I sent you a few pics of some of my builds with your vinyls on them before. Didn't hear from you, so I figured you didn't get the email.
  8. Sweet! Love the color combo!
  9. Way cool, very nice job on the pipes too. What technique did you use to achieve the "heated" look?
  10. That looks great! I have to say, I think it's the nicest one I've seen. Love the color on it, looks like someone took a bone stocker and tubbed it out.
  11. Great use of one of those promos. Looks like something a low-budget department would paint up as a "DARE" car for displays. Very cool. It actually looks pretty good with those tires and wheels on it. I took one and did it stock with bigger white wall tires, I'll have to remember to grab some pics of it one of these days.
  12. Really diggin' the bikes!
  13. I think it's pretty wild. And, like Peekay said, since it's unusual, that may have helped it survive all these years. I think it would be a great conversation piece in your collection of vintage kustoms. Just don't put it near a window!
  14. Glad you joined us. The Fords in the first pic are my faves. Love those colors too.
  15. Very nice. Interior is great!
  16. Very cool!
  17. Came out very nice! Much better with the red interior. I didn't even know Classic Metal Works did one of these.
  18. I think the one you are referring to is Frontier's 46-8 DeSoto 4 door. There is currently one on the bay for a buck ten.
  19. Looks great Al! I've always loved the rear ends on '60 Mercs. Almost bought a 1:1 years ago, but I was young and didn't have the dough! It was like your model, white with red interior.
  20. Very cool! I like all three.
  21. That looks great. Who does the diecast? Is it 1/25?
  22. That looks fantastic! Should have had this body resin cast so I could build one too!.........
  23. Lot's of wiring and plumbing work there. Nice detail!
  24. Incredible work! Love that color green too!
  25. Same here. Fantastic paint. That's just how they looked in the late sixties.
