  1. Stunning! I always look forward to seeing your builds. And, @ DustyMojave........that's a nice pair of old Fords.
  2. Awesome Fords! Perfect factory colors too!
  3. Beautiful job on a not so commonly seen flopper! Awesome!
  4. Sweet! Love the dio and the ice shots!!!
  5. Wow, that was a score! I've got all three and did the same with mine too, but I sure didn't get them for two bucks!! Fantastic. Beautiful foil work too. Great colors, especially the Olds.
  6. Great idea! It looks fantastic.
  7. Didn't offend me one bit! That is absolutely incredible! WOW!!! Can't say anything else but PERFECT!
  8. Beautiful job Rich! As for the colors question, they were available in 16 colors. Ready? Bluebonnet blue, Stardust blue metallic, Midnight blue, Misty green, Ivy green metallic, Arctic turquoise metallic, Suede metallic, Buckskin beige, Canyon gold metallic, Iceberg white, Jet black, Sunflower yellow, Coral metallic, Royal red, Toreador red (the color of my 1:1), and Copper glow metallic. Go to paintref.com to see them all. Furys were only available in Buckskin beige, Belvederes in all colors. Also of interesting note, the engine in this kit is actually a big block. '58 was the first year for the Chrysler big block. Although the majority of the Plymouths had the Poly block 318 engines in them, the Golden Commando package gave you the big block. (note the familiar 4 bolt squared valve covers) The poly block valve covers were scalloped and held using two bolts down through the top of them. The kit has the distributor placed at the back of the engine to the driver's side, just like a Poly block. In this kit, it actually should be placed in the front at an angle, like all of the Chrysler big blocks. Sorry for any repitition if someone already talked about this, but I hadn't seen it here before. Anyway, Rich........your build is very clean, nice chrome foil work too!
  9. Thanks guys! I remember a few of these floating around NY where I grew up. They rusted fast up there.
  10. Awesome work! Looks fantastic...............love the white walls and stock caps!
  11. Beautiful build! Love the color! Resin body looks great.
  12. I think it looks great! Love the color.
  13. Just gorgeous! I really dig that Brizillian '82 as well.
  14. I'll agree.
  15. Cute little girl! Paint came out fantastic! My daughter just turned sixteen, and never took an interest in cars like us. (of course she's ready for a 1:1 now) You are a lucky Dad.
  16. Wow, you really made this kit convincing. Looks very accurate. Awesome!
  17. I love it. I do this sort of thing alot. I'm gonna go get one of these now! Thanks for posting this, it really is beautiful!
  18. Exactly. If it ain't right..........don't do it. Then we won't have anything to complain about.
  19. That's a shame.Very sad. I hate to hear this. Had one in my hometown too. Although I live in Florida now, I grew up in NY.........had a great one downtown, I too still remember the musty smell. It smelt like an old Johan box!!!! Love it!! Had all sorts of kits, plus slot cars, Matchboxes, cool plastic cars we could run up an down the drive way, like Duncan, Korris, Hawk, Gay, Processed Plastics, Simms, Kenner, etc. A place dreams were made of. I'll never forget it. It closed in the early nineties, when the owner retired. He stayed open till he was in his seventies. Manny Rosen. I still remember his name. Thanks to him, I discovered Jo-Han, AMT and MPC annuals, Lindberg, Pactra 'Namel, and loads of other great stuff. Things like these are what our children will never be able to experience. That's a shame.
  20. Yes, B pillar needs to go back, rear door is too long, and look at the body at the base of the C pillar.
  21. He turns his head.............lol.
  22. This body is WAY off. Look at the doors and side windows. I won't be buying one. Here's the 1:1.
  23. Beautiful! Awesome weathering and great diorama!
  24. Crazy, but cool as can be! Love it!
