  1. Thanks!..................that's the parachute under there, that's why I left the wheel cover off of it.
  2. Thanks for all the comments guys! I think I will leave the tires on it.
  3. I can't afford paint either!!! I think it looks great just the way it is!
  4. Nick, that's sweet! Love the metallic light blue on it! Looks great!
  5. Not a lowrider fan either, but man these are clean! Having built both of these kits, I have to say, nice job on the BMF!
  6. I guess I can add this one to my completed for 2012 list. It's the Fiat out of the re-popped AMT Double Dragster kit. I used the ram injected version of the Chrysler Hemi. Everything is done out of the box, except for the wiring of course and the fuel line from the Moon tank under the front cap to the fuel pump. Paint is Duplicolor light green metallic. I thought the chrome was too shiny on the wheels, so I sprayed them argent silver. Hand painted on the wide whites (looks tacky, I think I'll replace with the pad printed ones), then again I could say that they were painted on the 1:1 too! It was a fun variation from the replica stocks.
  7. Very nice...........where did you get your hucaps? They are perfect.
  8. Wow, that came out great! I've been thinking of doing this too, and now looking at yours, I'm inspired to do it. Not sure if I can get it as nice as yours is though.
  9. Very cool idea! Another thing I noticed about these kits is the trim that goes below the trunklid (joins the two smaller ends by the tail light bezels) is not included in the kit. I BMF'd mine to join the two ends.
  10. The rest of 'em.
  11. I built twelve this year (actually 13, because the current WIP will be done soon). Plus a few detailed promos. I'll split the pics up into two posts (just the kits, not the promos)
  12. Shiny! Love the interior colors!
  13. Drastic Plastics makes a resin body with the stock roof height. Looks awesome Jim!
  14. Looks great! Krylon is famous for those "bumps". Great job on the BMF, I dread doing foil work sometimes!
  15. Stunning! Always loved this color on these too!
  16. I know the Bowlus Road Cheif has an interior, very well done too. The entire body lifts off to see it. As for the Franklin Mint Airstream, that's a late sixties model, very well done, but very expensive now. Usually see them go for up to five hundred a piece on the 'Bay. Glad I bought mine from the mint back when they were available. I too wish we could find this builder. If I do find out who it is, I'll post it here. I could do a master for flat sided trailers like the Airfloats pictured here, but I don't think I could ever get the symmetry right to do a "rounded" one like the Airstreams.
  17. This came out very good.........looks real! Love the missing headlight bezel touch!
  18. I love it!
  19. Thought you guys would like to see these vintage scratchbuilt travel trailers in 1/25 scale! I don't know who the builder is, I got these pics from a 1:1 vintage trailer facebook site I belong to. They are done in aluminum, just like the real ones. There are two different length late '40's-early 50's Airfloat trailers (the ones with the round windows), a couple of Airstreams '40s and '50s, and a rare front enterance '30s Bowlus Road Chief. This guy should make these available as kits, I'd love to have some.
  20. Awesome line of builds this year! Especially love the Olds, the Vicky and the Stroh's mobile.
  21. Love it!!! Looks great photographed with the bike!
  22. Very cool! What all did you have to do to convert it to a LeMans? I wanted to do this with the '72 GTO kit, but there is way too much work involved in the front end for me! Perhaps the '68 is easier?
  23. Now that's slick! Love the wheels on this badboy too!
  24. Beautiful! Came out looking real good. Love the signage!
