  1. That's sweet! Wish they would have made these 1:1. Just saw another one tonight up on the 'Bay.
  2. Very cool! Love the color!
  3. Thanks very much, Jay. I'll shoot an email to him.
  4. I don't see the mouse.............lol..............Looks great to me!
  5. Does anyone know if there may be a 4 door body for the new '50 Olds kit?. I know there is a 2dr fastback, hardtop and cvt available, but haven't found and more-doors yet. Also interested to know if anyone is doing a 4 door fastback '51 Chevy or perhaps a station wagon coversion kit? Hendrix does a '51 Chevy 2 door post........I may go that route if nothing else is available.
  6. Crazy, man, crazy...........somebody forgot to dry the center of the spare tire holder.........lol. Bring it to the meeting Sat.
  7. ERTL did the promos for these, so the MPC/AMT Vette kits would be based on this. The promos usually came first.
  8. Looks great! Nice job on the flip nose.
  9. Not a fan of cop cars, but man, this looks fantastic!
  10. First off, thanks to everyone for all the great compliments! I built this one from the 1998 issue Lindberg, it's done in stock form (in black) on the box. It did have the slant six with it too. I'm planning to use that in a Duster. Everybody seems to like the color I did this in. When I went to the auto body supply store, I actually wanted Sandalwood, and they mixed up Chestnut instead. Sandalwood is a lighter more coppery brown, but oh well, it's too late now!
  11. Thanks guys!
  12. Box stock from the Lindberg kit, shot in acrylic enamel factory color Chestnut Metallic with white roof, light chestnut and beige two tone interior, engine is kit supplied but sprayed Chrysler Engine Turquoise to represent a 361 or 383 big block (can't tell them apart externally).
  13. Just a quick pop apart and detail of a promo. Looks a little more realistic.
  14. You ARE shooting the perfect shiny paint jobs. Awesome color! Nice work on the hood.
  15. Hey Jim, the motor's shiny! Just for you. And Neal, I had to do one after seeing all your "dark siders" and your diorama at our show!
  16. A shiny Rommels Rod?? I can't wait to see that one! Leave it to you Jim. Nice looking shiny Shivvy!
  17. Thanks guys for all the nice comments!
  18. Awesome! Great idea for all the stock parts in this kit that nobody uses.
  19. Beautiful! Nice job on the BMF!
  20. Not sure, this kit did'nt come from ebay. However if the Ford looks familiar, it may have been yours. I just got that one recently.
  21. Rick, Yes............parts did indeed come in handy! Thanks again for that! The color is Krylon Bright Idea Yellow. I would not recommend it. It is garbage. Yellows are tough anyway, but this stuff is really junk! This stuff is literally transparent. Then you have to let it dry for a week, wetsand and polish.
  22. Pretty 'Bird.
  23. Here's where the tires come from. Matter of fact, I used my last set on this. I need to find more myself.
  24. Here's an old Monogram kit. I built this as a base Citation instead of the kitted X-11 version. I filled in the hood scoop divit, and removed the molded in spoiler from the trunk and quarters. Color is pretty much right on match with the factory yellow. Tires are old parts pack US Royal skinny whites. No wires or anything special under the hood. I still need to find a set of clear headlights for it. These cars were pretty much ugly throw-away cars in my opinion, but due to it's wierdness, I had to have one in my collection.
  25. Love the redlines and the straight six. Looks great!
