  2. Now that's what I'm talkin' about!!!! That is beautiful! Absolutely LOVE the color! Looks period perfect!
  3. Looks great with the flattop! Love the color! You guys must have some pretty darn "good" goodwills there. All I ever find in my local ones is a bunch of nothing!
  4. Beautiful! I plan to build one of these as well.
  5. Beautiful! Love the color and the interior! These are tough to foil, but you nailed it!
  6. I plan to build one of these too.................beautiful job, except the wheels/tires aren't my cup of tea.
  7. That is awesome! Congrats to you for restoring them as they were. Great choice of color on this one though.
  8. Slicks are the kit tires of which I masked with liquid mask and shot wide whites on, and the fronts are old painted wide whites, AMT tires like the ones found in the original '40 Ford, '49 Ford, etc. I've had these forever in my tires bin, and it always looked like they had been thrown out in the dirt and dug up years later! So I thought they'd be great for this build.
  9. Paintref.com shows the paint chips..........Ford colors start in 1926, as per the article above.
  10. Just finished this one up last night. Built from an original issue Double T hot rod that I bought on the Bay, I used a Jimmy Flintstone resin 4 door sedan body, sprayed Krylon Satin Avacado green, Flathead from Revell '37 Ford pickup kit in metallic Citrus, vintage tires and parts box wheels, rad from Mono 40 Ford pickup and a couple of flipped up spots for headlights. Cut down headers from parts box, ran on inside of frame rails. Just a real-gone bomb. Yay,, no BMF or buffing to deal with!!
  11. Had to show you guys this old build. Built from original kit years and years ago. Someone did a pretty decent job. There were parts off of it when I got it, but it was all there. I was careful simply to clean it up, buff it out, and just re-attatch all of the builder's originally used parts. This is the way someone did it, complete with baby blue Flattie! Gotta love the old Kandy Magenta color!
  12. Looks great! You actually could get these in seven available colors, other than black. When Ford spoke of any color as long as it's black, I believe it was in the earlier 1900's. I too was only planning to build the hot rod in the kit, but after seeing your stock pickup, I think I'll do mine too.
  13. I gotta build one of these things.............way cool!
  14. This is the one............you should see this thing in person! It's even got a case of beer in the back!! :-)
  15. Yours too Neal...........I still am amazed with the roofless ratrod you did.
  16. Those are killer! I love all three!
  17. Man, that came out perfect! Love the redlines! Nice tidy engine bay too!
  18. I love it! Looks perfect!
  19. Our club, (FAST), had a club build where we all built Monogram 40 Ford pickups. Here's my version. I used the front end from a Willys, 427 Ford from the '63 Galaxie kit, M & H pad printed slicks, and parts box wheels and front tires. I shaved the drip rails and the body moulding around the cab, and filled the stake pockets. Also used wood veneer slats in the bed. Nothing special, just a quick build.
  20. That's sweet............love the Caymen green roof and the interior! Awesome!
  21. Absolutely gorgeous! I am a Mopar fan, but I always loved the look of the '60 Olds.
  22. That is awesome! I love seeing these old original kustoms. Very cool!
  23. Wow! Super, super paint jobs! They pass for 1:1's. I didn't laugh at the '83, I actually want to build one myself.
