  1. I got my first paycheck from my new job to buy a few new models I've had my eye on.
  2. Oh, it wasn't that subtle...it had the same whole front end as the GTO. And, with one blown muffler, it wasn't quiet either!
  3. Pretty much what I'm saying...about a few tiny little clues.
  4. She's looking good Tomo. Like it was mentioned before....lots of pictures! That's the one thing I regret not doing. I took 1 picture of my first car and it was sent in to a magazine. It wasn't returned, but was pictured in the magazine. So, I only have the magazine picture to remember it by and it's 1/4 the size and b/w. Oh yeah...it was a 1972 Pontiac LeMans Sport. It looked like a GTO, but unfortunately it wasn't. It looked similar to the pic, but nowhere near as nice.
  5. Hey Kerry- Sounds like it may be interesting. If I can make it, I'll see what models I can get together and bring along to help launch the model portion. Just in case I do make it, what kind of info would be needed for each model...a brief description of model and what was done to it? Or, just bring some models to show.
  6. Never been to one. I think the closest one to me is in Kenosha...not worth the trip when I have two excellent hobby stores within 2-3 miles from me. Plus a couple of Michael's for some useful odd stuff for modeling with coupons.
  7. You know somebody is going to say it..."It only costs peanuts to run."
  8. Nice little camera there Charlie. Just one question though....where are you finding 35mm film? Seems not many places are carrying it anymore...not that I've been looking for it. Camera shops perhaps. Guess you just have to find it and stock up! I was just looking at the '57 Ford Police Car yesterday myself at the hobby store, but didn't buy anything. Weird...I usually leave the store with something!
  9. Thanks Ray. Now to get some cash in my pocket for some new kits!
  10. Ok...this is the last post on this for me. I got the paperwork in order this morning and I start on Monday. Don't know exactly what I'll be doing except that it's at Quikrete(Wisconsin plant) which will allow me to keep buying models and supplies(that model related thing again ).
  11. Thanks Andy. I may have pulled the trigger a little early saying I have the job. It's through a temp service on a temp to hire...the employers option, but at least I have my foot in the door.
  12. Thanks Charlie. I've been out of work for a bit. Just glad it's not flipping burgers at Ron's Steakhouse!
  13. It's a long time coming, but it'll allow me to buy more models(there's the model related part )...A JOB! It's a temp to hire, but hey...it's money in my account! Thinking I'll start on Monday after all the paperwork is done.
  14. Wow...and I thought the MACK's we had in the yard at my last job were old, tired, and beat up! That one takes the cake.
  15. 1970 So, for me, my favorite car from that year is the Pontiac GTO The Judge.
  16. Don't have that kind of $ and I'm sure there's plenty I wouldn't want. And, I don't want to waste my time trying to get rid of them either.
  17. Don't forget your NAPA mud flaps to hide those slicks!
  18. Did a craigslist deal this morning. Revell '99 Ford SVT F-150 Lightning (bad box, complete kit bagged inside) Revellogram #3 Dale Jr. AC Delco race car (factory sealed) Testors/Lincoln Mint Ultra Metal Series '69 GTO Judge (bad box, but complete kit) Got all three kits for $15 and the seller has close to 1000 more kits to post yet. I'll definitely be in contact with him for more later...before they hit craigslist. **Not sure if I want to keep the Jr. car. I know race cars are hard to trade, but if I decide to, keep a look out for it in the kit trading threads if you're interested. Otherwise PM me and we can work something out.
  19. That's really sharp. Great detailing!
  20. I'm liking it. And I agree with Skip on the wash. You've got enough.
  21. Looks great! Same idea I had...whenever I build it.
  22. Writing it down and keeping that list in the kit. Getting older is....getting old.
  23. Fantastic looking build. The finish is outstanding!
  24. Sometimes you just have to use what ya got!
  25. AR-15/16 lowers. Pretty raw too. @Jesse- Are those rejects or just unfinished?
