  1. I think balsa and basswood. You may find it at a store like Hobby Lobby or Michael's or a well stocked hobby shop. Good luck.
  2. Love it ! Great job.
  3. Yes ! Bring on the paint !

    PT CRUISERS

Cool ! Number 2 reminds me of a Chevy SSR.

    Ol'e Glory

    Very cool build.
  6. Got a little more done on this kit. Body is painted but still needs to be decaled and cleared. There is too much chrome and probably should have stripped some. The rear suspension is a little fidgety and it seems the pipes get in the way a bit but that could very well be my fault. Not going to be a 100 % replica of the real car but hopefully it will at least turn out to be a nice display piece.

  9. John, your builds including this one are a work of art. I admire your abilities to create such detailed builds.

  13. Very nice builds !
  14. I guess the paint was dry. Nice looking split window.
  15. You did a great job on this kit. This is a perfect kit for anyone wanting to build their first large scale kit. I built one a few months ago and it was a pleasure to build and I did not have any issues in the building. The one thing I believe is wrong is with the decals is the stripe going down in the back all the way over the black section of the body. I cut that portion off my decals. I could not find any reference photos that showed the stripe going past where the black section started.
  16. Congrats !!!!!!
  17. Thanks for the info Ed. Probably build it right out of box even if not 100 % correct. I need to do a search for photos and check it out. I am on the west side in Laveen.
  18. Those two are killer.
  19. Thanks. The rail if I recall was the Hemisphere ( ?) dragster and the Fiat body was modified from the AMT double dragster kit. The Stude was made using the frame from the Double dragster kit and the body was modified from the Miss Deal kit. I cut down a lighter to make the "smokestack " for the inner engine exhaust since this build uses the 2 engine set up. Some people think it is somekind of intake but it is not.
  20. Lookin' good, nice start.
  21. Looks great !
  22. Beautiful Cobra. Turned out great.
