  1. Since I started this topic I feel I can safely say we got a little off track. No ? My question was just that, a question. It was not a complaint or critisium of any kind. This forum IMO is the best there is.
  2. Lookin' good.
  3. I can only hope it makes it to the display cabinet and not the trash can !! : )
  4. Your using ink ? I think most folks use the Tamiya clear blue and yellow and orange.
  5. I admit it. I use the green stuff and I like it. I never had a problem with it. I do think it does have a smell but not too potent.
  6. Looks good ! Me thinks your old eyes are better than my old eyes. Nice job !
  7. Looks good Brian.
  8. I built this car several years ago when it was a new kit. I believe at that time it was an IMC kit. I recall it being a rough build and it did not turn out too good. So..... since it has a Cobra chassis and I am a Cobra kind of guy I thought I would take another crack at it. I plan on some mods and I guess I will see where it goes. Parts look pretty clean but not sure about the fit yet. I don't care for the stupid sliding side windows and that feature may not make it to the final product.
  9. How about a scheme taken from a WWII P40 Flying tiger ? Might look cool with the open mouth and teeth that was on the plane. Decals should be easy to find. Just throwing that out there. Could also do a silver paint job and take some cues from a P 51 Mustang and use some cool nose art, panel and rivet detail. Never mind me I just watched an old war movie and have airplanes on my mind. : )
  10. Red, white, blue ?
  11. Fantastic work !
  12. Very nice start.
  13. Sweet !!
  14. Got these in the mail today from ebay. Another Cobra for the Cobra collection. And the Cougar ll model kit. I have some plans for the Cougar kit, afterall it was built on a Cobra chassis. I built this kit or I should say tried to build this kit many, many years ago when it first came out. I think it was an IMC kit back then. I recall it was a tough build and did not turn out too good. Maybe I will have better luck with it this time around. We shall see.
  15. Cool !
  16. Pretty cool.
  17. I have been wondering what happened to this build as well.
  18. Looks great !
  19. Great project. AWB cars are very cool.
  20. How much if at all does the box art influence you to purchase a particular kit ? When I started building models in the 60's the box did help me decide which kit to buy. I learned pretty quick that sometimes the box art has little to do with what the finished product would look like . I point to Palmer. They had some very cool looking boxes but the kit did not resemble even a little what was actually what the finished product looked like. Now I wait and read reviews here and in the magazines before I put down money on a "new" kit.
  21. Looks very nice .
  22. I am always amazed at how quick of progress you make. Sleep and hour and build 23 ? ? ? : )
  23. I have noticed that several times I have seen a post moved from one section to another. I have miss posted a couple of times myself. I totally understand that there are sections where certian builds belong but would like a clairification about something please. I know there is a place for drag cars and a place for large scale builds. I notice that there are several large scale builds in the drag section. My question I guess is what would be the over riding aspect that would determine which section is correct or is either correct in this case ? Thanks
  24. Not too sure about the grill.
