I went and got some paint today. I needed more primer ( Duplicolor filler primer ) so I went to Pep Boys. I found a yellow that looked like it would match my Vette replica so I got that also. Now besides the primer I never used the Duplicolor line of paints. I like the cost over the model paint. While the cost is close to the same with the model paint you get .3 oz and with the Duplicolor I got ( perfect match ) you get a full 8 oz. Does anyone who uses the Duplicolor have any tips for using this paint ?

Today I bought a can of yellow Duplicolor for a 1/20 Corvette I am working on. I have not used it beore but it seems like a lot of people here have good luck with it. The last can of model spray paint cost me 5.79 and thats for .3 ounces. The Duplicolor I got today was about the same price but the can is a full 8 ounces. if it works good for me I will be buying more. I guess my next 4 models will be yellow ! : ) Not really, always nice to have extra colors on hand.

I can feel your pain in part. In the last 2 months I have had to replace my water softner tank at 550.00 then repairs to my wifes car of motor mount transmisson mount and some air tube at 850.00 then a battery in my truck for 110.00. Then my Mustang GT that my daughter has in California needed 2 front tires, front brakes and a wheel alignment for 450.00 My garage door started to not work but I managed to fix that and now our dryer is making funny noises. Not nearly as bad as your situation but you my friend are not alone in having some bad luck. If it wasn't for bad luck I wouldn't have no luck.

I agree with William about those 6 hood thing a ma bobs. I do like the car but I think it would look much better in a different color.

Well, I guess I will have to wear the "slacker" hat. Try as I did I could not get the lettering to look good. I still think it is due to the curve of the side wall. I canonly get the top portion of the lettering to come out nice. I tried to seach for some Goodyear decals the right size but all I can find is smaller than I need. I will have to live with the black walls.

Man, I don't know how you can seem to build so quickly and still turn out such fantastic work. I can't seem to do either. : )
