  1. Looks like you did a very good job on the chop. To me , they are not too easy on some cars.
  2. This is looking great ! The interior is beautiful and the dash ? Fantastic !
  3. Looks like a nice resin piece. Good luck with your build.

    STP Turbine

    That car looks very nice.
  5. Thanks Walt. You can get the decals from Flaming Graphics or now called Flaming Colors I think. They have a wide selection of decals that are meant to be used on Hotwheels cars. If you order any you have to coat them before you use them.
  6. Congrats ! That is a very nice build.
  7. Moving right along I was able to get more done today. Body painted and decaled but not yet cleared. Some other parts painted and some in primer. I am planning on using the white walls but not sure I like the look with the rears being narrow and the fronts wider. Does this bother anyone else who may be reading this ? Should I perhaps run black walls up front ?
  8. Very cool build. The details are teriffic !
  9. Looks cool but I was thinking it also would have been cool without the top and just a chopped windshield.
  10. Jason, that Merc is a beauty for sure.
  11. It really was a fun car to drive. I loved poping the t-tops and taking a cruise at sundown. It wasn't a fast car but that didn't bother much. I also bought a brand new 1978 King Cobra which was one year car and that wasn't very fast either. That had a 302 but I don't recall the hp on that. This kit went together pretty good except for the front and rear clips were a bit of a pain.
  12. How long did you wait between coats ? Is the paint you used say it is good for plastic ? I'm sure you know that not all paints are created equal. Some cheap spray paints have a nozzel that shoots too much paint when you press it. I learned that the hard way. Do not spray anything on tacky paint. As suggested at this point it sounds like stripping is your best recourse. Good luck.
  13. Thank you guys.
  14. OK Mark, no rat rod. And yes this body does seem to be undersized for a 1/25 scale.
  15. My next build will be the hotrod in the double T kit. I have some parts primed and have drilled out the rear deck for some tail light I want to use. I also cut a hole in the roof so to be a bit different and to offer a view into the interior. Not sure of the whole finished look I am going for but will just keep working on it and see what happens.
  16. That looks interesting and totally different. Looking forward to more.
  17. Nice build, love the color.
  18. Looks very nice. I was wondering about the trunk too.
  19. It kind of looks Bugatti ish to me.
  20. Is that Maverick done with the swirladelic method ? If so I haven't seen one done like that in a long time. Wasn't that Hank Borger's idea back in the day ?
