  3. Very nice work Corey.
  4. Looks very good to me.
  5. Nice. Good choice on the wheels. Always happy to see another Cobra.
  6. Very cool. Nice job .
  7. Ok, you convinced me. I will give it a try. It really looks good to me. Thanks Bryan !
  8. Lane, good luck getting back into the hobby. If I understand you correctly you have built in the past. Did you not ever finish a kit ? The reason I ask is because you say your folks won't buy you a kit because they are afraid you won't finish it. Also, don't forget garage sales as you can sometimes find a deal.
  9. Well done.
  10. Very nice build.
  11. Thanks guys. And ok Tim I will leave the shell the frame color. And not just because it is eaisier for me. : )
  12. Funny, I just noticed when I was listing the photos that I painted the radiator shell the frame color and it should be body color. I'm an idiot ! May or may not change it.
  13. Was able to manage to get more done on this build. Nothing totally done yet but made progress on the tires and wheels, the interior has been flocked, the body has been cleared. Still lots to do.
  14. Marty, they make kits for making vinyl tops as well as the masking tape method which I believe is deatiled in a post here somewhere.
  15. Randy, that looks great !
  16. Paint looks great !
  17. Pretty cool interior you built there.
  18. Very nice. I like the color. I never had a lot of luck with the Krylon paints. Maybe I need to give them another try.
  19. Thanks guys. As an old geezer I really enjoy building these re-releases that I built when they were new. Hopefully they are at least a little better now then the last time I built them.
  20. Agreed. Enjoyed your building style then and still enjoy it today.
  21. Good story Ken. Thanks for posting. I hope to have one ( not a real one ) someday. I came close to one about 7 years ago. There was a place in California not far from where I lived at the time called Dayons House of Cobra's. My wife and I went there and they had about a dozen or so finished and ready to go. I drooled over them awhile and then started asking questions and prices. I sat in a few ( not an easy car to get in and out of if your a big (fat) guy. I spied a nice looking red one in the corner. It was red without the stripes and had the chrome roll bar and side pipes and the bumper jacks. It was powered by a 351 and had an automatic. The automatic appealed to me because the foot box is so narrow. Shelby too I understand did build a few automatic cars. They were asking 25,000 for it and I thought that was fair. I looked into and was approved for a second on my house and thought I would go for it. Before getting the loan I backed out. I decided it was not the right time. My daughter was still in college and thinking of going to law school which she did and still is. I don't have to tell anyone with childeren how expensive 7 years of college can be. She is in her last year of law school now and I retire about the same time she will be finishing school. I plan to get some type of "play" car but what it will be I don't know.
