Just messing around with some of these cars between model projects. Needed to do something a little less time consuming. Nothing special really. Cars disassembled. I prepped and primed the bodies and the sprayed with White Lightning which comes out a cool silver color over the gray primer. I then applied the custom decals and cleared over them when dry.

Ha -ha Bryan. I guess I deserve that. Can I use Mtn. Dew instead ? I am just finishing a couple of custom Camaro Hot Wheels and then I can start this project. I am not the type to have 47 unfinished projects laying around. : )

I'm kind of surprised JB Weld did not work. I can't really tell how the broken part was attached but was it a clean butt break ? Can you maybe cut a sleave from some aluminum tubing and make an overlaping joint ?

I retired from my "real " job of being a warehouse manager for the largest pool supply distributer in 2005. Took some time off but got bored. For the last 5 years I have worked part time for a Petco store just down the road from me. I will retire again , forever in June of next year when I will be 62. More time for building !

Did you notice how skinny those bucket seats are ?

I really only gave it a quick look but it appears to be good but a bit simple. I do wish it had some nice decals for the dash and also the Corvette on the rear bumper and the emblem on the front. I will try the cover with BMF before painting trick. Wheels look good but are too shiney. My wheels were not chrome so I will tone the kit ones down with a coat of dullcote. I will drill out the dash if I can locate some dial faces that will work. I hope to start it this weekend.

I will be watching how this one turns out. BTW Happy Birthday early !!!
