  1. Fantastic work ! I love it !
  2. Not exactly the answer your looking for but when I built one of those 1/12 scale Lindberg kits I replaced them with some resin ones. Bought them on ebay.
  3. That could have worked but I am just about done with the kit engine and will go with that. Thanks
  4. Top notch work for sure.
  5. Thank you all so much ! Michael, if you think this one is strange wait till you see the next one !
  6. Looks good, nice work !
  7. Shot a coat of primer on the body today .
  8. That's wild !
  9. I would need a huge Cobra model for that engine !
  10. Cool little buggy !
  11. Thanks JC ! I guess if I tore out the front suspension I could just about make it work. Thanks to all for your help but I think it's time to give it up and admit things just wont fit. I will stick with the skinny 8 in the kit.
  12. Thanks for the correction Bill. That's the name I was trying to think of.
  13. As I get older it is tough to admit that I just can't do what I once could.
  14. I think a company called Casey (?) makes ones long enough to hold them.
  15. I had given that some thought. I could say whatever I want is in there.
  16. I did that today with my Dremel.
  17. Maybe the AMT one ? I was just about to give up the idea because the Cobra compartment is so small and that front suspension as you know is sitting right there. I even just primed the stock skinny v8 but maybe my idea is not quite dead yet ! I know the one in the Cherry Bomb kit would work but it is little more than a lump and would need to build some panels around it which is no problem but I still would have the lump. I really thank you all for putting so much time and thought to the project.
  18. Thank you so much fellows. It would seem the small compartment of the Cobra is not the best place to try and get in a turbine engine. Maybe not one of my better ideas. However since it is a fantasy car I could perhaps cut a section out of the middle and put it back together and make a smaller one. Hmmm. I would like to that you all once again.
  19. Thanks guys. I am thinking either the black or a dark blue. None of my paint jobs are great but black has always been tough for me.
  20. Thanks Richard. Most that I have found are just to large for the cobra. I may have to just go with the kit engine.
  21. That snow is beautiful ! Of coarse I am in Arizona and looking at it on a laptop.
  22. Good job Cale !
  23. Hmmmm another Cobra idea.
  24. Always, always , always test on a scrap body or other model part if not sure. I learned that the hard way........................ more than once !
