Thanks Michael. Here is an update. I wanted this one to be done in a satin black. Normally I prefer shiny finishes and am not that fond of "rat" style rods myself. But I did think this one would look good with a satin finish. I painted it with what was said to be a satin finish but it is waaaaaaay to shiny for the look I wanted. I will decal it and shoot it with some dullcote and see how that turns out.

I look forward to the responses given here. As for ones I have built I would have to say one of the Tamiya 1/6 scale motorcycles.

I loose out on a lot of auctions. Maybe I should revise my strategy. When I see something I like I just look at the shipping cost and factor that into what I am willing to pay. I then bid the top price I am willing to pay and then let the auction go where it wants. Missed out on a Johan 72 Torino snap but not willing to spend the 50 + shipping price it went for.

This is sure to be one wild ride.

Been working on this kit for a little while and it's pretty nice. The only complaint or comment I can make is about the interior decals. They are printed in green. The green limits the colors for the balance of the interior or even the exterior. Sure they can be masked I guess but it would have been nice to have an additional color on the decal sheet.

Got new auto and home insurance for 400.00 less a year. Better coverage as well. Hard to do that nowadays.

Thanks. I did have a bit of trouble getting the body/interior assembly onto the frame but I managed to get it on.

Next one up on the workbench is the Monogram wagon. Will be built mostly with parts from the box. I did rob some whitewalls from the parts box as I don't really like the whitewall decals that come in the kit. I also opted to turn it more into a sedan delivery but using some sheet plastic to fill the rear side windows. I have not yet decided on any colors except blue for the engine.

Finished this one up a couple days ago. Tried to duplicate the rendering on the side panel of box. Only thing not from the box is the rear tires which I took from a die cast car. Paint is Testors gold with Duplicolor clear and a flat black section on roof. Not a bad old kit to have back.
