  1. Thanks Guys. Yes the Dash bodies are not resin and are very clean.
  2. Beautiful pic. Love the snow..........at least looking at it .
  3. Thanks Ken ! I kind of like it too but then I do like a Cobra. : )
  4. This little Cobra was a Dash slot car body that I decided to build as a little model. I added after market wheels, primed and painted the body and made a simple pan chassis to mount the wheels and body. Just another Cobra for the collection. Thanks for looking.
  5. Here's the front as it sits now. I see 2 problems one of which I will fix. First, the new headlights are too small so I will drill them out larger. The second is in the putty job on the stock headlights. Looked good in primer but after I put the paint on I can see I should have done another round of putty and sanding. Not going to try and fix that now. : (
  6. This little project is finished. Photos will be in the Under Glass section soon if interested.
  7. I am using the stock grill. I just drilled holes in it and backed them with some BMF and then did the front with Krysal Klear. Looks ok but not great, just wanted something different.
  8. Thanks guys. Seems like a great simple kit that you can build quick and still looks good. Great little project for between more difficult builds.
  9. HOK Tangelo. Love that color.
  10. Nice work.
  11. I like it Al. I think I will get me one.
  12. Since the original post went bye bye I will pick this up from where I am. The stock headlights have been filled and are being relocated to the grill. Tail lights and rear panel are being modified as well. The interior was sprayed with Fabric Tan. The car was lowered by installing some plastic tube where the axle rides. The metal axle rides in the tube and brings the car down more to my liking. The wheels were sprayed with Tamiya Silver Leaf. The body is being painted AMC Big Bad Blue.
  13. This kit is maybe what you don't think of when you think of a model kit but that is the way I am going to build it. It is meant to be a slot car body but I am making a flat pan and using some 1/48 wheels and tires I bought and building it as a static kit. Kit is a Dash item and comes unpainted and not assembled.

  15. Actually it was Monday. Went to leave to go pick up my wife from work, she can't drive due to a boot on her right foot from foot surgery . Anyway, got in my faithful F 150 Supercrew that I bought new at the end of 2001 and she would not start. Turned over great but would not fire. Hopped in the wives car to go get her. Tried truck again when I got home and still no luck. Next day ( Tuesday ) after I got back from driving her I tried the truck again and it fired right up. Took it and dropped it off where I get my work done. Turns out the fuel pump was not working properly. New fuel pump and I had them do the fuel filter also. I can pick it up today. Not really too irked because these things happen and the truck is getting older so ya have to expect this kind of stuff will happen.
  16. I will also add my thanks as well. Very often we are quick to complain and not acknowledge the positive. Myself included.

  19. Good suggestion from Dave. That stuff looks pretty good.
