Built this for a buddy of mine. Same guy I made the 65 Dodge dio for you may have seen here. Anyway, many years ago when we were much younger he took his dads new riding mower out when the folks were away. He was trying his best to pull wheelies out in the street. Folks arrived home and caught him in the act. Made this to recreate that event. Mower is an ho scale item that I repainted and the girl figure was modified by sanding and painting and moving one of the arms from the wheel. Mounted on a simple base with sandpaper for the road and a little grass added on one side for interest.

Maybe I'm a sucker. My daughter who finished law school about a year or so ago is working as a lawyer in San Diego. Job is a starter lawyer job and doesn't pay as much as you might think. Not bad but not a ton. My wife and I paid for her car, we pay for her car insurance, pay her phone bill and still send her "care packages" from time to time. We are also paying for half her Obamacare health insurance. She is now 28 but to be honest I really don't mind helping her. She is my daughter and always will be. I feel fortunate to be able to help her. Oh, almost forgot. Helping to pay back the student loans from law school. No wonder I can't afford a Factory 5 Cobra kit car !

Discovered some reels of movie film that I took with my dads movie camera about 47 years ago. Included is one of my sisters weddings and tornado damage from a bad one in Oak Lawn, Illinois. Also some shorts of my friend and I doing wheelies on our Stingray bikes. The shocker is that they were still good enough to have them put onto a DVD !
