I would guess that most of the people here have at least one other hobby.

Well, since it is 113 outside I was able (forced) to stay in and work on this wip. Most parts are now painted and you wouldn't believe how fast the paint dried out in the garage. : ) Anyway, it still needs to be cleared. Chassis is molded with the X frame as a single piece so it was a pain to mask and spray. I only needed to touch up a little as it came out pretty good.

That picture is funny as heck. I have never seen that before.

Having built models for over 50 years I can say I have had my problems for sure. I have to admit that although some kits are better than others I believe my talents or lack there of was the cause of a lot of my problems. I always had trouble with the early Revell kits with the working features but I have seen many built up that looked fantastic. I think it sometime boils down to how much effort you are willing and able to devote to a model and naturally your abilities at the time you are building. The Palmer and Pyro kits mentioned were not the best for sure but at that time plenty were bought and then played with. They were never designed to be high quality models at that price point. Just my opinion. : )

I did know about that Cobra but was thinking more of one that most people could afford.

I myself never did or do give a rats behind what anyone thinks. That's their problem not mine. I also don't judge what others may choose for a hobby. If they enjoy it whatever it is, good for them.
