  1. Nice looking drop top.
  2. Very nicely done.
  3. Thanks guys. The guitar is from the Rat Roaster kit.
  4. Thanks guys. I tossed the guitar in the back as I recalled that during that time he had this car he was taking lessons.
  5. Wife and I went to the movies today and since there is a Hobby Lobby right across the way I had to go. Got the stuff you see in the photo. Two of the cans of paint were marked down to 2.22. They had about 15 cans all together. I think I will go back next week and buy whatever is left if there is any. Ya gotta love those 40 % coupons. With my wife and I splitting up the purchase I got all this for 30 bucks !
  6. You may remember the model I built of a 66 Biscayne as a replica of a buddys current "fun" car. He really liked it so I attempted to build a replica of his very first car from over 40 years ago. Neither of us remember all the details so I tried as best I could with what we knew. I used the Foose 64 Impala hardtop kit. I removed the roof and found a convertible down top in the parts box. Built pretty much stock even using the custom wheels which I know are not correct. The interior is flocked and has some Chevy floor mats. I put an 8 track tape in the player. For you younger folks that may not know what an 8 track is ask your pops........... or grand fathers. : ) The mirror has not been added as the one on the 66 I built and sent was broken in transit. He will have to install it when it arrives in Illinois. The for sale sign is a replica for one her purchased the car. Yes, he bought a 64 Impala SS convertible for 250.00 ! And it was in great shape. Keep in mind it was well over 40 years ago.
  7. That is a great looking model.
  8. Car is finished and photos will be in the "Under Glass " section soon if interested.
  9. Front reminds me of a Fusion. Not saying I don't like it because I do.
  10. Thanks Carl. I have been having some trouble with this one but it's not the kits fault. I was trying to rush it which is never a good idea. I wanted to ship it out tomorrow but that's not going to happen.
  11. That bike is looking better and better. Can't wait to see it finished. Can I ride it ?
  12. Thanks James. Don't know why my pics got screwed up.
  13. Couple more progress pics. Loose shifter has been fixed.
  14. Those are great looking slot cars.
  15. Looks good !
  16. I will sometimes get that orange peel when I spray lacquer in my garage in the summer. I think because it can be so hot that the paint is drying partially before it hits the surface. This time of year I only spray in the morning. But to answer your question I agree with the rest of the fellows about the wet sanding.
  17. I'm guessing it will continue. What do you suppose is their main problem ? Designs ? Vendors ?
  18. Very nice ! You did a great job !
  19. I know that kit very well. I hope you build one up. I would love to see it. I sold my kit to a buddy that wanted it bad. Thought I would just pick up another. They went from about 60 bucks to 125 or so in a pretty short time. I still need to get another for my collection.
  20. A hot rod with 70 engines ? : )
